Lovers at Last by Shelley MunroLauraJ’s review of Lovers At Last by Shelley Munro
Contemporary Erotic short story eBook released by Ellora’s Cave 4 Jun 08.

I’m kind of on a short story kick. It’s great reading while I’m waiting for one of my kids to finish up at one of their activities. I can usually finish up one story (including distractions of “mom, look what I just did”) while I’m waiting.

I wanted to read this one because it is a friends to lovers story and that is probably my favorite type of romance. I guess I like the “aha” moment when one of them discovers the love of their life had been right beside them all along.

Ms. Munro does a great job creating the hero and heroine is such a short space. Usually in short stories I don’t feel I get enough of a background on the characters to feel like I know them or understand where they are coming from. Justin was the kind of friend that everyone should have. He was funny, sexy and intelligent. I liked him immediately. I liked Pearl’s sassy attitude. There was good chemistry between them in the bedroom as well with fun banter between them.

I look forward to reading more from Ms. Munro in the future.
