Connie's review of Fast Track by Fern Michaels
Romantic Suspense released by Zebra 24 Jun 08
This is one of the Sisterhood series. The girls are approached to help the World Bank with a matter of missing money that should have helped poor countries but they also want to keep this from the world press. The start of the book finds the sisters leaving their mountain retreat to return to Washington at the British Embassy, which has been emptied for them.

Shannon C.'s review of Hidden by Eve Kenin
Science fiction romance released by Shomi 1 Jul 08
Eve Kenin's Driven introduced us to a post-apocalyptic future in a bleak northern climate where truckers were kings of the road. In Hidden, Ms Kenin returns us to that world, and we get to see another aspect of this society. In fact, though Driven was an excellent book, I liked Hidden better. Read more

Sandy M's review of Subtle Destiny (Subtle Lovers, Book 4) by Beth Kery
Contemporary Paranormal Romance published by Ellora's Cave 14 May 08
Ahhhhhhhhhhh! A thoroughly satisfied feeling after reading the latest Beth Kery book. Even though this is the fourth book in the Subtle Lovers series, I didn't feel lost not having read the previous books, the writing is, as always, engrossing, and the characters are larger than life. Exactly what I've come to expect from Ms. Kery. Read more

Limecello's review of Dante's Blackmailed Wife by Day Leclaire
Contemporary romance published by Silhouette Desire 12 Feb 08.
I have to admit, that this is one time the book cover, and author name took me in. I was a bit skeptical as to the summary, but I'm glad I bought this book. This is actually the first Day Leclaire book I've read, and I enjoyed it. I really enjoy the Desire line, and I think this book offers something new. Read more

Futuristic romance published by Shomi 28 Aug 07
I'd heard quite a lot about this book when the Shomi line from Dorchester started, and since Ms. Kenin's sequel is already high up on the list of books that Sybil thinks I need to read, I thought it would be good to unearth this book from my TBR and give it a go. Read more

Shannon C.'s review of Bloody Mary: Jacqueline Daniels Mysteries, Book 2 by J.A. Konrath
Mystery fiction released by Hyperion 16 Jun 05
Even though I'm still not a big mystery fan, I really enjoy J.A. Konrath's Jack Daniels books. They are by turns funny and dark, and even though if I think about the books too long I am left feeling depressed, I still keep reading because tough-as-nails police lieutenant Jacqueline "Jack" Daniels is a character I've come to really root for. Finn's review of Knave’s Honor (King John, Book 3) by Margaret Moore
Historical Romance released by HQN 1 Jan 08
Well just the fact that one of the main character’s names is Finn made me curious about this book. Lady Elizabeth d’Averette likes adventure and she meets it in human form when she encounters the outlaw Finn on the road home. Those who know Lizette know she has more courage than sense. Which attracts Finn like a fly to honey! Read more

Contemporary romance ebook released by Ellora's Cave 17 May 08
Ms. Kinson specifically requested that we review one of her books, and unfortunately, she got stuck with me. My track record for Ellora's Cave books has been something less than inspiring, unless you're Samantha Kane, which most authors are not. In fact, in my more megalomaniacal moments, I like to think that Ms. Kinson keeps coming back to the site every day, with bated breath, hoping I do not hate her book. Well, for her, at least, the wait is over. Read on for my thoughts. Read more

Limecello's review of The Loner by Rhonda Nelson
Contemporary romance published by Harlequin Blaze 1 Jun 08
I really enjoy Rhonda Nelson's books, and she's a Harlequin author I always try to keep an eye out for. I know I'll not only read, but enjoy her books. However, I let this book sit for nearly a month before reading it (from cover to cover in one sitting) - and, I'd say I don't know why, but I do. The blurb/heroine - she's described as "a doggy-toting debutante." Every romance novel claims the heroine has substance, and is different from the vapid tabloid trust fund baby, but I've been burned too many times. Based on what I know of Ms. Nelson's writing, I should have believed. This book is indeed different. Read more
