BOOK ALERT: Seductive Secrets by Lynne Connolly **June 10, 2008**
May 16, 2008
Seductive Secrets (Secrets Trilogy, Book 1) by Lynne Connolly! Isn't that just an amazing cover? I lurve it! If you are wondering it is by Anne Cain. You can see it, a touch bigger at the bottom of the post, you know, in case you missed it *g* (excerpt is coming!)
Hopefully Lynne will have some nifty news soon... because older series, Richard and Rose, she has pulled from Mundania Press and she is shopping it again to get it back into print.

Contemporary Paranormal Romance eBooks published by Samhain 1 Jan 08 & 4 Mar 08
I'm the typical reader who needs to read a series of books in order. However, reviewing books doesn't give you that luxury very often. I've never read Lauren Dane before and suddenly I had the last two books in her Cascadia Wolves series in hand and once I started reading, I didn't care one iota I hadn't read the first three books before beginning these two.

Laura J's review of Byte Marks by Mardi Ballou
Contemporary paranormal romance eBook novella released by Samhain Publishing 13 May 08
I like paranormal romances but I prefer that they are on the lighter side. I love Mary Janice Davidson and Kimberly Raye's vampires and even though Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampires are a little darker and more suspenseful, I still find the humor and mystery outweighs the suspense you find in most paranormals. This book was definitely for book for those who are like me, the ones who want sexy vampire heroes, some good vampire loving and a good storyline to go along with that.

Erotic romance short story eBook released by Harlequin Spice 1 May 08
I think I need to preface my review with the statement that I like Harlequin as a publisher. A lot. In fact, I probably spend twice as much on Harlequin books as I do on groceries. [And I buy from the site with discount codes - so imagine. Scary.]

Fantasy romance eBook released by Samhain Publishing 2 May 08
I love a good fantasy romance. And I have mentioned elsewhere that I like the trope of chick from our world wanders into fairyland. So I was fully expecting to enjoy the first book in the Mylari series. Unfortunately, while the external plot was interesting enough to me that I am almost tempted to follow this series, the romance left me really cold.

Sci-Fi novel eBook published by Cerridwen Press 17 Apr 08
I had a hell of a time getting into The Hollowing not because it was a bad book, but because for some reason, probably owing to the fact that Cerridwen Press is an imprint of Ellora's Cave I was expecting a romance. Naturally, I have no problems at all with non-romance books--I'll try and read most things once, but it took me about a quarter of the book to shift my expectations from paranormal romance to something more along the lines of horror-tinged science fiction.

I try, I really do, to finish every book I start, especially if I requested it for review. But I got about a third of the way through Gatekeeper and simply couldn't.

Paranormal romance ebook released by Silhouette Nocturne 1 May 08
Racing the Moon is the debut offering from Silhouette Nocturne's new Bites line, which consists of electronically published paranormal short stories. If you enjoy erotic romance novellas from epublishers like Ellora's Cave or Samhain, you will likely enjoy this story. You will certainly know what to expect: lots of mental lusting, an isolated situation, a bit of "getting to know you" banter, and the good old horizontal tango.

Historical erotic romance eBook published by Samhain 29 Apr 08
My fellow duckie, Sandy M., has raved about Beth Kery, so when her latest came up for review, I used my mad ninja powers of sneakiness to request it before she could. The premise looked interesting in a this-could-only-happen-in-erotic-romance kind of way, and even though it's short, I figured it would be a nice change. Unfortunately, I can't review this book without spoiling a couple of things, so if you really want to read this book and don't want to be spoiled, go read something else.
