LauraJ's review of Satin Seduction by L.A. Day
Contemporary Erotic Romance eBook released by Ellora's Cave 11 Jun 08
This is the first book by Ms. Day that I have read. I know I’ve said this before, but short stories are a really good way to get a feel for authors and their writing style. Ms. Day’s books are ones that I’ve been wanting to try for a while so when this one became available, I wanted to see if I would like her writing.

Contemporary Erotic Romance eBook released by Samhain 17 Jun 08
I haven't read too many books with a ménage a trois, okay more like I probably read one or two . Don't know why really, I guess I thought some of them would be a bit over the top and go for as much kink as possible. I was a bit hesitant about this one, but decided because it's a short story and author I wanted to try so I would read it. Read more

LauraJ's review of By Appointment Only by Janice Maynard
Contemporary Erotic Romance released by NAL on 1 Jul 08
I first fell in love with Janice Maynard’s books when a friend of mine found a copy of Suite Fantasy. We were going to an author signing at a bookstore and Janice was one of the author’s there. I read the book before going so I could talk to her about the book a little. After that Janice Maynard became an automatic, must have the book as soon as it comes out, author. This latest book is probably my favorite of her books to date. Read more

Contemporary Erotic Romance short story eBook released by Samhain Publishing 3 Jun 08
Maya Banks is a new author to me, but one I have wanted to try for some time. So when this book became available, I thought it would be a good one to try. Short stories to me are a great way to see if you are going to like an author and their writing without investing a lot of time and money.

Contemporary Erotic short story eBook released by Ellora's Cave 4 Jun 08.
I’m kind of on a short story kick. It’s great reading while I’m waiting for one of my kids to finish up at one of their activities. I can usually finish up one story (including distractions of “mom, look what I just did”) while I’m waiting.

LauraJ's review of Cosmic Sex (Nekarian Aliens, Book 2) by Karen Kelley
Contemporary paranormal romantic comedy released by Brava 29 Jan 08
I’m the one who loves to read books with quirky, off the wall humor. I don’t remember how I heard of Karen Kelley. I think a friend of mine told me about her and thought I would like her books. Close Encounters of the Sexy Kind had just came out and I picked it up, mostly because the title caught my attention, read the back and decided I had to read the whole book. I knew within the firs few pages that Ms. Kelley was going to be an author I liked.

My first experience of reading one of Ms. Rainey's books was when I reviewed Touching Lace. I immediately fell in love with her writing style. Since reading Touching Lace I have been eagerly awaiting the sequel and hoping I wouldn't be disappointed. I am very happy to say I wasn't. Read more

Contemporary Romance ebook released by Samhain Publishing 13 May 08
Shelley Bradley is a new to me author and with that I really had no idea if I would like this book or not. I had never heard of her before, but reading the blurb I thought it sounded pretty good and I might like it. So I started reading it, hoping to get about 50 pages done at a time but then as I was reading I lost track of time. Suddenly 50 pages turned into 150 pages and I was still didn't want to put the book down.

If this book could have a theme song, it would be Carrie Underwood's latest, "My Last Name." Both are about two people who are in Las Vegas, spend the night drinking a bit too much, end up married, and then have to deal with the consequences the next morning. Read more

Contemporary Romance released by Avon 27 May 08
I wasn't sure what to expect from this book having never read anything by Ms Gibson, but from the blurb this sounded like something I would like and was even looking forward to getting it to read. I found out that this book is actually part of a series so I was a little worried about reading it without having read the others first. Fortunately it is one that can be read without reading the others first and nothing is given away to ruin the other books should you, like me, want to go back and read the previous books.
