Sexiest Man Alive by Diana HolquistAlicia’s review of Sexiest Man Alive (One True Love, Book 2)by Diana Holquist
Contemporary romance released 1 Oct 07 by Warner Forever

Diana Holquist is a new author for me. I missed reading her first book, Make Me a Match because, to be honest, I didn’t hear about it.  I read Sexiest Man Alive without knowing it was a sequel. It stands alone just fine. I will be getting MMaM ASAP.

Our heroine, Jasmine Burns, is tragically shy around men. It isn’t even shyness, it’s a phobia. She can’t have a conversation with a man she finds attractive in any way without throwing up and/or running away. Luckily, she doesn’t need to date. Her sister is a gypsy psychic who tells who someone’s “One True Love as destined by Fate” is, just by touching them. That makes it simple, right? Of course, her sister only gets a name, so there could be more than one person with that name. And if the name happens to belong to the biggest sex symbol movie star alive, then it just has to be someone else with the same name… right? Because anything else would just be laughable… wouldn’t it?

Sexiest Man Alive is sweet, sexy, funny and very, very, good. Ms. Holquist’s wit kept me turning pages right through the night until the book was done. All of the characters had depth. My eyes misted several times. I laughed a lot. I felt Jasmine’s mortification and her triumph. And best of all I believed Josh’s love. This book is up there with my favorite Vicki Lewis Thompson titles (and way better than her less-than-great books).

From the back cover:

Jasmine Burns’s One True Love as destined by Fate is named Josh Toby. Of course, he might not be THE Josh Toby, the biggest movie star of the decade. After all, a shy girl like her could never be loved by a movie star like him? Could she?
