Seduce Me At Sunrise by Lisa Kleypas **Sept 2008**

Lisa Kleypas historicalDear Friends,

I thought I'd share just a little about my current work-in-progress, a historical titled "Seduce Me At Sunrise", which will be the story of Winnifred Hathaway and Merripen, the inscrutable Gypsy you first meet in "Mine Till Midnight."

Win has been an invalid ever since she suffered a near-fatal case of scarlet fever. Merripen is a tall, dark Romany Gypsy who was taken in by the Hathaway family when he was a boy. He has always kept his fierce passion for Win a secret, believing a romantic relationship would never be possible.

But Win goes to an exclusive clinic, far away from Merripen and the rest of her family, and makes a remarkable recovery. And when she returns two years later, a changed woman, the explosive passion between these long-denied lovers threatens their family, their future, and even their lives . . .

Favorite romance writer. Ever! I can't wait to read Win and Merripen's story. (I also admit to looking forward to reading about the babies that Amelia and Cam produce.) But truthfully, Poppy is my favorite of the Hathaways. All of them are lovely!

I damn love youre books too much to resist! And I am utterly very happy to hear that you are coninuing your character from Mine Til Midnight, which were left off. I loved your books, all of them since i have found them something so deep within my heart that i am unable to resist your books. I loved the way you tease your characyers, make them say amusing things that i have to laugh for more than 15 min. I loved your book Then Came You which was totally amusing about Lily Lawson, and the 4 wallflower series. Wallflower series were so erotic as well funny. I learned one thing about that is, u fill the books with romance, amusement, controversy and a proper way to deal them.

I hope you should keep on writing your books 4ever!!!!!!!!

Hi Lisa! You are my favorite author!! I LOVE every single thing you have ever written! I can hardly wait for Seduce Me at Sunrise! I loved Mine Until Midnight! Another classic!!! My favorite characters, out of all your books, have to be Aline and McKenna in Again the Magic. Everytime I read that book, I fall more in love with them! Keep up the good work. I just don't know how I am going to be able to wait for about six months for Win and Merripen's story!

  14. Lisa Kleypas on March 4th, 2008 11:01 am

Oh, these are such wonderful comments . . . thank you so much! "Seduce Me" will be released on Sept 30, which does seem like a long time to wait :( . . . but I hope you'll eventually think it's worth it!

    love to all,
    Lisa

  15. Jeri R. on March 10th, 2008 1:36 pm

I cannot even begin to describe the love I have for these books. I was OVER THE MOON THRILLED to hear that Daisy and Matthew Swift were having a baby - but now I'm desperate to find out what it was! We know that all the other Wallflowers had girls - I wonder if we'll find out what Daisy had? She and Matthew Swift were my favorite characters.

I'm SO EXCITED about Seduce Me at Sunrise that I'll be continuously re-reading Again the Magic, the Wallflower Series and Mine Till Midnight until I get to read the new one. And then the process will repeat. I'll never get tired of it. Never.

THANK YOU, a thousand times thank you, Ms. Kleypas, for the magic and wonder your books have inspired in my very heart and soul. :)

    09/30/08... for SM@S

    soooooooooooooooooooo worth the wait

    Just saying ;)

  17. Katydid on March 24th, 2008 12:11 pm

OMG!! I am so not going to be able to wait until "Seduce Me at Sunrise" is released!! I have re-read "Mine 'Til Midnight" just recently, as well as re-reading all of the Wallflower's series, and the Bow Street Runner's series (Love that Nick Gentry....even when he isn't a Bow Street Runner!! I like 'em kinda dirty or somethin'--Vinny from "My Blue Heaven"). I guess that is one reason I love St. Vincent...he is a bad boy, and knows it, but doesn't try to shy away from that fact. He is what he is, and I loved reading about him!!! Derek Craven and Max and Justin Vallerand are 3 others who are sexy as can be, yet have that "bad boy" quality I find so appealing. But, I have to say, that of all the books I have read of Ms. Kleypas' (which is every one I can find in print, online and at my bookstore...probably at least 20 or so are on my bookshelf right now!!) my favorite hero is Cam Rohan. I knew even when I read the Devil in Winter that he was going to be dead sexy if he ever got his own book, and I was right!! Can't wait to hear about Merripen and Win, and more about the Hathaway family. You Rock, Lisa!!! You have ruined me for other romance writers...none can compare to you, and I find myself going back to re-read your books after the first few chapters of a new book from another author. None seem to be able to craft a story half as interesting as you do. Keep up the amazing work!!
    Happy reading....
    Katy

PS...sorry for the long post...it is the Irish in me!! :)

  18. Beverley on March 24th, 2008 12:27 pm

Not only Seduce Me at Sunrise, but I can hardly wait for The Wallflowers Chistmas, Rafe Bowman's story. I read the excerpt on Lifetimetv.com and I'm completely hooked!!!

  19. Misty on March 24th, 2008 3:43 pm

Hi Lisa! So I just ran out today and got my copy of Blue Eyed Devil. I loved it!! Although I must confess I love your historical work best, this contemporary writing it great!!! Lisa..you have to get a myspace! It is a great way to keep in touch!! Again..thanks so much for sharing your wonderful talent with the rest of the world!

  20. Krista on March 26th, 2008 10:07 pm

Hi Lisa!!! So I have to say that I love your books so much!!! I first started reading the Wallflower Series and I love it!!! Mine til Midnight was a fabulous book and I am so glad that you are continuing the series. I keep telling my mother that because I am twenty that I want to become a producer or director and ask your permission of course and do the Wallflower series but I have no clue!!! Or I would love to be Daisy for the wallflower series in a movie LOL because I love her character and I love how she is five foot just like me!!! You should make it a movie on lifetime or we or oxygen that would be great!!! Another reason I love your books is the time period it is in. I wish I could go back in time in one of your books of course and play one of the characters!!! Keep on writing your books they are terrific!!!

  21. Jessica on April 2nd, 2008 12:54 pm

This is the first time I have ever written an author. I have read everyone of your novels and love them all. I was amazed by Sugar Daddy and Blue Eyed Devil because they are so different from your historical novels in their style. You took on real issues and made readers understand them from the inside. I figure it must be harder to write a contemporary love story due to the reality of modern living. Great job! I can't wait for Seduce Me at Sunrise if it's half as good as the sneak peaks it's worth the wait! By the way, Cam Rohan is by far my favorite hero.

  22. Ash on April 18th, 2008 11:39 pm

finally more books with an interracial.I'm glad the world is seeing it my way, mixing races are beautiful.
    -Thank you Lisa,
for helping people to see this.

  23. Tabitha on April 19th, 2008 5:25 pm

I found this site searching the 'net, and I'm glad I did.

Lisa, I love your books. The characterizations, the writing, the "tender moments", the wit...everything. I always look forward to reading the next because I know I will enjoy it.
I'm not normally a romance fan, but your books are engrossing. :o)

My confirmed favorites belong to the Wallflowers series, but I am also enamored of Sugar Daddy, which I considered a delightful change of scene.

I can't wait to read about Win and Merripen -- there's a dynamic!

  24. Carri Ellis on April 24th, 2008 7:40 am

I would like to know when this book will be ready for purchase. I am ready to read on these two characters. When looking at your website - I thought it would be out in April. When contacting the book stores, they seem to not know when the book will be out. I thorougly enjoy your books.

    hi there,

I've been your avid reader since forever. I've bought because you're mine - twice because someone borrowed it and I wanted to re-read it and couldn't find it. And I've just finished Blue Eyed Devil. That book made me cry - twice. Thank you for writing beautiful stories. I can't wait for Merripen and Win's story. Sept 30th is soooo looongggg....

  28. Katydid on May 8th, 2008 11:34 am

Okay...where is she??? You said Lisa'd be here in May...well it is May...and I don't see her yet!! Sorry for the impatience...I understand, the woman has a busy life. I am just going nuts for another sneak peak of SM@S, or anything she is writing, especially in the historical genre. Truth be known...I am climbing the walls because I am nearly bed ridden as of late, after I (yes, I...) dislocated my own shoulders (yes, plural...I dislocated BOTH shoulders), as well as broke both upper arm bones. Thank God my fingers can still work....at least I can still type on my laptop, and turn the pages of my favorite "LK" novels!! I am re-reading some of my favorites...Right now I am re-reading "When Strangers Marry"...love that Maximillien Vallerand!! Ooooh so sexy!! But, as I have mentioned previously, I like 'em kind of dirty or something...usually on the "bad" side my taste runs to. Next I am going to re-read "Only With Your Love", 'cause, as I said, I like 'em bad, and Justin is even more "bad" than his father, Max!! I am enjoying the re-read, however, I am desperate for some new material. Keep up the great work, Lisa, darlin'!! Hopefully, I will be outta these slings soon, and won't be so hungry for some good reading material, as I will be back to the normal everyday 3 ring circus that being a mother of 3 young ones truly is...who hoo!! here come the dancin' bears dressed in pink tulle tu tus!!! I guess that is my cue to go!! :)
    Peace, all,
    Katy

PS...again, sorry for the lengthy post, but I am seriously bored, and I think my pain meds have me a bit "chatty"!! :)

  29. Sybil on May 8th, 2008 11:47 am

Katy hon did you miss the exclusive excerpt we put up just the other day of Seduce Me at Sunrise and the cover?

really really Lisa should have been here today... but I sort of forgot to tell her that...

so I am gonna shoot for Tuesday *g*

    i needz

  32. Sybil on May 8th, 2008 12:21 pm

hey I gots an hour and I am soooooooo wanting bears!

  33. Katydid on May 8th, 2008 12:31 pm

    Sybil...
Thanks for filling me in. No, I hadn't seen the exerpt I have been a bit "out of the loop" recently. But I have read it now!! Whoa!!! That sounds so hot, I can't wait. Man, such torture til Sept!! I also love the cover art. Really sexy!! I hope we hear more of what happens to Cam and Amelia in this book, too. I can't get enough of the Hathaways, apparantly!! Thanks for sharing!!

As for what I did to myself...I would gladly do it again...just hope I never have to!! I was trying to stop one of my friend's little girl from being carried away by a spooked horse. We were out jumping/riding, and a snake spooked her horse, and my girl friend's little 9 year old daughter's mount freaked, and the little nina lost the reins, and I, being the closest adult who could ride worth a damn, decided to try to catch her and her mount before something bad happened...and well, I did catch them, but I ended up falling off head first (thank God I am good at falling!! I am very lucky I am still here, let alone able to think/type coherently!!).

However that wasn't what caused most of my injuries. I hit my head pretty badly, and that caused me to go into a seizure after I hit the ground, and from the resulting convulsions, I dislocated both of my own shoulders, and broke both of my own arms. I know...weird, huh??? According to the ER doc, I am in a rather unique club...He'd never had someone have both shoulders dislocated by themselves. This is one club affiliation I would gladly decline membership to!!!

I guess real life can be stranger than fiction...and I always thought I lived a dull life...who knew!!! I had almost every paramedic team that came in the ER the night I was in there asking me how in the heck I did this, as well as tons of seasoned nurses and doctors surprised by this 'accident', or whatever you want to call it!! Oh well...I have always been an over achiever!!

Whop...here come the fire-eaters...better go now!! (no, I am not still suffering from my recent head trauma...this is a reference to my 3 ring circus of a life with young children!!--see previous post!! )

I wish you all peace, love and a good book....;)

    Katy

  34. Katydid on May 8th, 2008 12:41 pm

Well, my dancing bears usually come out from hiding about the time my little ones come home from school...as the circus begins at about 3:00 each day. However, I may be seeing some pink, tulle tutu'd clad bears earlier these days due to the meds they have me on for my dislocated shoulders. However badly you want to see some dancing bears, or other circus acts, I don't recommend what I did to recieve said meds. They aren't really that great, anyhow!! Just your run of the mill pain meds, and I mostly have been taking ibuprophen for pain, anyhow. I don't like to feel tooooo muddle headed. Lord knows that I am strange enought w/o chemical assistance!!) :) Plus, they make me sleepy, and then I can't read my fave LK books!! (And, if mom is asleep, then all heck breaks loose with 3 kids running amock about the house!!)

    Take care all,
    peace,
    Katy

I love your books. But are you going to write more about Lydia Craven and Dr. Linley? I love the Wallflowers and could think of every possible story you haven't written yet, and anticipate more of Westcliff =) Watta hunk

Got something to say?
