Spotlight: Kathryn Shay Is In The Hot Seat
May 9, 2008

I was introduced to Kathryn Shay back in 2002 when I was assigned to review Practice Makes Perfect. After finishing the story with a contented sigh, I e-mailed the editor I was writing reviews for at the time and asked her, “Where has Kathryn Shay been all my life?” To which she replied, “Oh Wendy! You must read her America’s Bravest series!” What resulted was one of my more serious author gloms, and Shay is now not only my favorite SuperRomance author, but one of my favorite romance authors. Period. As part of TGTBTU’s continued spotlight on Harlequin SuperRomance this month, Shay graciously agreed to sit down for an interview. Enjoy!
Review: Life on the Move by Megan Reilly

Shannon C.’s review of Life on the Move by Megan Reilly
Contemporary young adult fiction released by Samhain 29 Apr 07
I love it when a book packs the kind of emotional wallop that leaves me sitting in my chair well after I’m done, stunned into speechlessness. When that book is only about 150 pages long, I consider that amazing. A quick word of warning–this is a young adult novel, and it’s not an easy story to read, so people expecting a traditional HEA will be disappointed, but if that doesn’t matter so much to you, this is definitely worth a try.

Devon’s review of Having Justin’s Baby by Pamela Bauer
Contemporary Romance published by Harlequin SuperRomance 11 Mar 08
Despite the ridiculous title, I had to read this book as soon as I read the cover blurb, as it combined two of my favorite themes: accidental pregnancy and friends to lovers. Paige takes solace in the arms of long time best friend, Justin, the night her fiancé takes off for Vegas. Uh-oh! They are just barely getting back on their old footing when Paige realizes she’s pregnant. Double uh-oh! You know what Harlequin’s tagline should be?

Lawson’s Review of The Hollow (Sign of Seven Trilogy, Book 2) by Nora Roberts
Paranormal romance released by Jove 6 May 2008
This is the second in the Sign of Seven Trilogy by Nora Roberts. The first book, Blood Brothers (my review is here), of course, had the set up for the story. Three young boys, best friends, freed a demon near their hometown. For seven days, every seven years the demon wrecks havoc on the town and it’s innocent inhabitants. The three boys, now grown and waiting for the demon to come again meet up with three women who are tied to the whole mess in more ways than one. If you’ve read the first book, you know all of this already. If you haven’t, go get it! It’s Nora Roberts!

Gwen’s review of Playing Easy to Get by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Jaid Black, and Kresley Cole
Paranormal romance anthology released by Pocket 7 Feb 06
This is an older (sheesh - 2 years) anthology that I picked up because it had the first Immortals After Dark story in it - Nikolai and Myst. It also has an earlier Sherrilyn Kenyon B.A.D. story and one of those goofy underground viking stories by Jaid Black. Here’s a quick review and a handy dandy little contest at the end…
