Double Enchantment (Relics of Merlin, Book 2) by Kathryne Kennedy
“This is Kathryne’s second book in the Relics of Merlin series, and just like Enchanting the Lady, it delivers a Victorian world full of magic. Author Erin Grady summed it up best with: ‘The imagination of J. K. Rowling and the romance of Julie Garwood.’ I just love the premise of this book, not to mention the shape-shifting stallion of a hero.” – Leah Hultenschmidt, Dorchester Editor Extraordinaire
Lady Jasmina was in a world of trouble. A simple spell had gone disastrously haywire and now there was a woman running around London who looked exactly like her-a woman with no sense of propriety whatsoever. All Society was whispering, and a baronet she’d never met was suddenly acting like he knew her…in a most intimate way. To find her double and set things right, they’d have to work together-braving the fog-shrouded streets, a mysterious group called the Brotherhood, and a passion stronger than any magic.
You can find Devon’s review of book 1 here and she is mucho excited to read this next one. As is Sandy M, who also enjoyed the first book. If you haven’t picked it up yet and you are one of those “le gasp! books must be read in order or a fairy loses their wings” types, this is a September release (i.e., 26 Aug 08).

I’m really looking forward to this one. Enchanting the Lady (book 1) was super cute!
I can’t wait to read Double Enchantment! Enchanting the Lady was piquant and original. Sue
Kathryne’s books are fantastic! She is a wonderful writer. If you haven’t read any of her stories, you have to check out this new series, and start with the first one. You will not be disappointed!
Kathryn,
Double Enchantment sounds such a fun premise. What a lovely cover as well. Dorchester always have such great covers. Looking forward to reading the story!
Helen
I’m really looking forward to Double Enchantment–and I love the cover too!
Like Leah, I love the sound of the stallion. I’ve been waiting for a kelpie, or similar shapeshifting horse-hero to come on the scene!
Rowena Cherry
Kathryne’s books are indeed enchanting. She’s is one of the best new voices to debut in the past few years. I highly recommend her books.
Thank you, Leah, my most awesome editor, and the fantastic ladies of this blog for spotlighting DOUBLE ENCHANTMENT. And thank you, loonigrrl, Sue & Tia Dani for your kind comments. A third thank you to my fellow Dorchester authors for stopping by and leaving a comment. I’ve read Deborah’s RIDING THE THUNDER, and it was wonderful. I’m sooo looking forward to reading Jenny’s SLEEPING WITH WARD CLEAVER, and Helen’s new THE MAGIC KNOT and Rowena’s INSUFFICENT MATING MATERIAL. So many fabulous books to read!! :}
Oh Jesus, an endorsement from Deb MacGillivray? Dear God.
Kathryne’s work is a wonderful blend of historical and paranormal. It’s tough to beat a great Victorian romance with a generous dollop of magic! Looking forward to DOUBLE ENCHANTMENT.
Oh no! Another book to add to my already tilting TBR stack. I love the premise of Double Enchantment. Haven’t we all had the experience of someone coming up to us and saying “You look so much like so and so.” Then wondering if our double is up to something that everyone’s going to think we’re doing. Add in a hero who shape shifts into a horse and I’m hooked. 🙂
Kathryne,
If you come back to answer questions, I want to know about Enchanting The Beast. What species is the Beast?
Wow, the second in the series already. Looking good. Can hardly wait to read it!
I’m looking forward to it. Especially after reading the excerpt!
Kathryne’s books are wonderful and I would reccommend them to anyone! Man or Beast the heros are definatley worth getting to know.
Hooray for Double Enchantment!

I so looking forward to Double Enchanment. I just (as in today) finished Enchanting the Lady and found the characters wonderful, even the dragon! Can’t wait to see what happens in this next one.
