REVIEW: Last Kiss Goodnight by Gena Showalter
Ash’s review of Last Kiss Goodnight (Otherworld Assassins, Book 1) by Gena Showalter
Paranormal Romance published by Pocket Books 26 Dec 12
Gena Showalter is one of my favorite authors. There has not been a book of hers that I haven’t enjoyed. As soon as I read the blurb on Last Kiss Goodnight, I had to have it. I just wish it had lived up to her other books more.
Jojo Moyes Winner!
Thanks to those of you who stopped by to comment on my review of Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. This book is so well written, full of emotion, moments of happiness and despair in equal amounts. A book worth reading.
REVIEW: Crazy Thing Called Love by Molly O’Keefe
Laura C’s review of Crazy Thing Called Love by Molly O’Keefe
Contemporary Romance published by Bantam 29 Jan 13
This is the first must-read book of 2013. And it’s assured Molly O’Keefe a spot on my auto-buy list. It also made me cry on the train. If you’re prone to crying, you might want to read this book at home.
REVIEW: When She Was Wicked by Annie Barton
Sandy M’s review of When She Was Wicked (Honeycote, Book 1) by Annie Barton
Historical Romance published by Forever 29 Jan 13
What lovely breath of fresh air this book is. Annie Barton gives readers a heroine brave enough to do what it takes to support her family and face the duke who catches her red-handed.
REVIEW: Gage by Delores Fossen
Dinca’s review of Gage (The Lawmen of Silver Creek Ranch, Book 5) by Delores Fossen
Contemporary Romance published by Harlequin Intrigue 3 Jul 12
The story of Gage is the next book in the The Lawmen of Silver Creek Ranch series. If you have enjoyed the rest of the series, you will love Gage’s story as well. Once again, Ms. Fossen has done a wonderful job of keeping you guessing who the culprit(s) will be. I had no problem falling in love with Lynette and Gage, who are willing to give up everything they love for the safety of those they love.
REVIEW: Kade by Delores Fossen
Dinca’s review of Kade (The Lawmen of Silver Creek Ranch, Book 4) by Delores Fossen
Contemporary Romance published by Harlequin Intrigue 3 Jul 12
What a way to start a book and get the reader hooked. If you want something different with a surprise ending, this is the book for you. Ms. Fossen has another suspense-filled adventure for the Ryland brothers. I do feel she has a one-up-em on the child-bearing theme for the brothers. If you have liked the others, you will enjoy Kade’s tale as well.

Veena’s review of The Accidental Bride (Summer Island, Book 2) by Christina Skye

This is a lovely, wholesome story about friendship and new beginnings. Jilly O’ Hara has just begun to reap the benefits of all her hard work. She is owner of a successful restaurant, has launched an equally successful food line, and has ideas to then launch half a dozen new businesses, when she gets an alarming wake-up call. Her heart is not able to handle the stress she’s subjecting it to and she needs to make drastic changes to her life style. This is devastating to young energetic Jilly who’s never sat back and taken it easy, doesn’t really know how to. And what about her business and emerging successful brand of organic salsa’s that are sweeping the market?
REVIEW: The Last Renegade by Jo Goodman
Sandy M’s review of The Last Renegade by Jo Goodman
Historical Romance published by Berkely 4 Sep 12
Sigh. This book ended up in the wrong stack in the many stacks of books around me and my desk, so it didn’t get reviewed nearer to the release date back in September. I hope you’ll give it a chance all these months later, because this is a wonderful read. Jo Goodman has written two terrific characters brought together by circumstance, something one knows and the other doesn’t. They’re up against the old west villain we’ve seen before – own the town to own the people. It’s a good thing Kellen and Lorraine have something to say about that.

GUEST REVIEW: Gilded by Karina Cooper
Rebekah’s review of Gilded (St. Croix Chronicles, Book 2) by Karina Cooper
Steampunk/Historical Urban Fantasy published by Avon 26 Dec 12
This is my first venture into the genre of steampunk/urban fantasy and I’m pleasantly surprised with the experience. The mixture of a historical setting and creative fanciful inventions are intriguing. While this isn’t a romance novel, it is an enjoyable change of pace for me.
