There was some sad news today, particularly for those of us “of a certain age” who grew up watching this man in movies, panting over him when he dirty danced his way into Jennifer Grey’s heart and our fantasies. Patrick Swayze announced he has inoperable pancreatic cancer. That makes me sad.
The man who made my teenager’s heart go pitter-pat…

He’s always seemed to be a very romantic man.

Poor Patrick has cancer
Hope he gets better! He is doing a pilot for A&E
And after Road House, I wanted to find a man in a barn!

We used to rewind the part where he gets out of bed (in “Dirty Dancing”) and you catch a glimpse of his butt!! I should qualify that by saying I was in high school, this wasn’t last year! *wink*
It’s sad to hear that he has cancer

It was hard to read the bit of news announcing his illness. I think Dirty Dancing inspired many a fantasy.

This made me so sad! I mean, who can forget “Nobody puts Baby in the corner”. It was just the most romantic scene, how he stands up for her. I just wish him and his family well.

And pancreatic cancer, which recovery rate is so low. Sending prayers and good vibes to him and his family. This is really sad.
I always liked him and I loved watching Dirty Dancing again and again.

God, I hate the C word! Why isn’t it banished from the earth by now? Amazing with all the money, brains, and time we’ve pitted against it, it’s still here . . .
I love Patrick Swayze! And I hope he is not yet without hope.

Having lost a family member to pancreatic cancer, I shudder when I hear this grim diagnosis. It is so incredibly sad, I am sending him lots of healing energy right now.

Oh, God! That makes me so sad!
He’s such a talented actor and performer. Who didn’t love Dirty Dancing? Not to mention Ghost. I know so many people lately who’ve died of this terrible disease. What gives with that?
Jane A., I’m so sorry for your recent loss.

We think with all the news reports at times that cancer is almost beaten. It’s not true. My heart goes out to Patrick Swayze and his family.
