So there’s this thing, right? Called Facebook? I hear it’s all the rage with the young’uns. Anyway, Facebook is a social networking site (think MySpace), which means one can meet up with folks of like interests, geographic location, alma mater, among other things. It is also a useful promotional tool for authors, musicians and Project Runway contestants. Among the things you can do on Facebook is Chat. Like chat with a historical romance author who has gained quite a following among the romance blogging community. Why do I mention this, you ask? Read on, I reply…
I’ve heard wonderful things about Julie Anne Long’s books (I’ve gotta start reading historicals again). And she’s going to have a chat tomorrow, Friday 29 Feb, at 8pm U.S. Eastern.
To chat with Julie Anne:
1. Between now and the chat time tomorrow, sign up for Facebook here, or just log in if you’re already in-the-know.
2. Sign up for the Avon Books Reading Group.
3. Show up online for the chat tomorrow, Friday, February 29 at 8 p.m. U.S. Eastern.
Yay! Finally – something for facebook and not myspace! (I… hate myspace. I really really do. And it hates me too.)
