Anyone out there live in the greater Louisville area? Because we have received notice that J.R. Ward will be giving a romance writing workshop at a Louiville Barnes & Noble this Thursday, 21 Feb.
Yes, J.R.Ward, the woman who took shitkickers, gangsta rap, fated mates, vampires, and the letter “h” and swirled it all together to make enslaved fangirls of us all (or most of us anyway). Well worth the time for any aspiring writer or fan.

I just wanted folks to know that I’ll be giving a talk on writing romance this Thursday, February 21 at 7 p.m. at the Barnes and Noble at The Summit (4100 Summit Plaza Dr. Louisville, KY, 502.327.7440.) hunt her down and steal an ARCmeet and greet like the nice girls we are.If she comes to nyc, I could make it. She’d probably have to ask Sybil for a photo to give Security, in case I got too rowdy.
Heh. Can you imagine us at a Ward book signing? Katie(babs) and her firey red hair behind a potted palm snapping photos and throwing books in her purse; me with a cocktail in hand lurching into the BDB display and scaring away the customers with my refined New England slur; and you receiving a cavity search by the local NYPD in the back room. Good times.
