So I was definitely going to post a review this week. In fact, my goal was to post two. Unfortunately I’ve had the week from hell.

Ok, it wasn’t from hell, but it was a bad week.

It’s the end of the first six weeks, and I disturbs me how many of my students are failing. Badly failing. Failing like this grade has seriously jeopardized their hope in passing for the rest of the year. Yep, the first six weeks grade is important and getting a 25, or even, yep, an 8 pretty much guarantees you’re going to be taking my class over again.

And then Wednesday during tutoring after school, while I was there to help those students get the last bit of work in so that they could pass, one of the little dears steals my iPod.

I know, it’s the risk I take bringing it to school. Yes, I know who took it. Yes, the child lied to my face about taking it and no I haven’t gotten it back. And yes, the dear is still lying about it even though he was seen by another student. And questioned and searched by the principal.

What is it with kids today?

I think what bothers me most is this is another in a long list of things that makes me loose even more faith in humanity, as much as teenagers can be called humanity.

So I’ve decided to instead spend my weekend not thinking about school (though there is some house cleaning and laundry in order. . .) using that wonderful distraction that I have: reading. On my plate are Scandal’s Daughter, Seduction is Forever, The Education of Mrs. Brimley, and hopefully I can start on Hot Mama (I’m so excited about this one, Karma Girl was great, but why Amazon doesn’t have a cover up for it yet, I have no idea). And post of a multitude of reviews and make Sybil happy this week.
