EXCERPT: Her Christmas Wish by Tracy Garrett

Book Cover

This is one of my favorite scenes in Tracy Garrett‘s novella in the new Wishing for a Cowboy anthology out this month.

I love an alpha cowboy backing his woman into a wall, door, whatever and taking his pleasure of her. And this scene goes that much further due to the fact Will hasn’t seen Katie in a number of years. You can tell he hasn’t forgotten a thing about her, including the fact he still wants her something fierce. A man after my own heart.

Katie is the strong, independent heroine to take what Will gives, give it back to him, and then some. Even when she thinks she’d be crazy to allow him back into her life, well, let’s just say she doesn’t stand a chance.

So take a few minutes to read this teaser from Her Christmas Wish. Then I’ll bet you’ll be wishin’ you had a copy to start readin’ right now!

Summary:

HER ONLY WISH FOR CHRISTMAS WAS THE MAN WHO LEFT HER BEHIND.

Even a woman capable of living on her own…
Kathryn McConnell is a widow celebrating a milestone birthday alone. Though she feels a woman should be able to mourn the passing of her thirtieth birthday any way she wants, she won’t turn away a cowboy in need of lodging—until she learns it’s the man she’d expected to marry thirteen years earlier.

…never forgets her first love.
Will O’Brien had challenged his father’s prejudice against the woman he loved only to discover he was unable to stand against his family’s wealth and connections. Without a way to support his bride, Will struck out for the west, determined to earn a living for them both. When he returned after two years with no word from Katie, he found she’d married another and moved away. Heartbroken, he returns to his work, but never stops hoping to find her.

When chance lands Will at the remote stagecoach station run by the widowed Kathryn, he grabs at the opportunity he’s been handed, hoping to win back the only woman he has ever loved.

GUEST BLOG: A Happy Western Christmas by Tracy Garrett

T_Garrett_2012All right, everyone who hasn’t even started their Christmas shopping, raise your hands! That’s me, waving a bit frantically. Granted, now that the nieces and nephews are a bit older, there isn’t as much to do. Still, there are the five great-nephews and one soon-to-arrive great-niece that keep me looking at catalogs and scoping out toy sections.

REVIEW: Her Christmas Wish by Tracy Garrett

Book Cover

Sandy M’s review of Her Christmas Wish (from the Wishing for a Cowboy Anthology) by Tracy Garrett
Western Romance anthology novella published by Amazon Digital Services 27 Oct 13

It’s been much too long since I’ve read Tracy Garrett. She writes westerns just they way should be written, with sexy cowboys and the strong and independent cowgirls who love them. So I’m very glad she’s part of the new Wishing for a Cowboy anthology from Prairie Rose, as well another in January. I hope this publisher realizes the caliber of author they have in Ms. Garrett and begins to publish more of her work.

Contemporary Romance ebook published by Amazon Digital Services 26 Nov 13

It’s been so long since I’ve read Christie Craig. What a shame! Because she gives a reader everything and more in her books. Humor, romance, mystery, suspense, quirky characters, love, and did I say humor? I always laugh out loud when I read Ms. Craig. Always. Never fails. I also always fall in love with her heroes and heroines. Her heroes are Texan and sexy and her heroines are spunky, sassy, and intelligent. A win-win every time.

Poor Lee so determined to resist and avoid his grandmother’s matchmaking machinations and finds that you can run but you can’t hide, especially when fate lends a hand. This is a sweet holiday romance with great characters and a fast-paced story. It also has the distinction of being the 100th published romance for the author. Congratulations to Ms. Jackson for achieving this milestone.

REVIEW: The Entity Who Came to Christmas by Cat Devon

Book Cover

Sandy M’s review of The Entity Who Came to Christmas (Entity Series, Book 2.5)  by Cat Devon
Paranormal Romance novella published by St. Martin’s Paperbacks 15 Oct 13

I love reading paranormal romance. Being able to let my imagination go wild with the author’s characters and storyline is a good part of the fun. Most of the time it works. But if you’re going to change up a legend that people love in two major genres, you need to make sure something special ends up on the page. Camelot, King Arthur, Merlin, Excaliber – you mention any of those and people know exactly what you’re talking about. Even Morgan Le Fey. So Merlin as a vampire?
