Kay Austin‘s website wasn’t too much help… what is this? Anyone know?
I can find that is it apart of the Shomi Line and her first book, Time Rogues, was published by Dorchester in 2005. If this interview is still correct Time Transit will be the sequel.
Old interview with The Romance Reader
The sequels Time Transit and Time Fugue will continue the time-travel series. Target releases are 2006 and 2007 respectively.
Sooo anyone have the 411?
I wish there was one called Time Bandits. I loved that movie. Every time I scroll by I keep thinking about it.
I loved Time Bandits too. It’s one of many flicks that inspired me to write timetravel. BTW my new website launch is scheduled for July 30. Hooray! Expect some SHOMI fireworks and a slamdunk into the subterranean futureworld of Earth’s Core.
I’m thrilled about the SHOMI line and the release of Time Transit in January. Here’s the cover blurb:
There’s a reason Maude Kincaid is one of the best Time Rogues, and it’s the same reason she’s now dead—or soon will be. Gut-shot and lying in a sub-orbital tram station reeking of sulfur and brimstone, waiting for the atmospherics to give out, she’s exactly where she intended: She’s saved CORE, her friends and her reality. And only a woman willing to bend the rules could do it.
The time travel was nothing. That’s been as natural as breathing since Maude became one of the 22nd-century’s elite cadre of protectors against temporal rifts. Jumps to Dealey Plaza and the old South were nothing. Taking the bullet was little harder. Maude’s only regret is about Gil. Gil, with whom she shared the 21st-century delights called Sonic burgers and blueberry Slushies. Gil, who’s half cowboy, half-PhD, but all man. Gil, whom she abandoned with his memory erased because he was from another time, another reality, and because Time Rogues can’t afford to know love. Today, she can’t afford to forget it.
ooh sounds like fun. So they’re like time travelling cops?
Devon,
Rogues are a time-traveling ‘special forces’ squad. Primary assignments include rescuing stranded time-travelers, reversing time rifts, restoring the past, and preserving the future. Of course, Rogues they ARE human and thus notoriously flawed. They make mistakes. And, they fall in love with people in the past — a big ‘no no’.
Time Fugue is the next in the series. It’s a leap into the ‘future’ of Earth’s 2152 A.D. futureworld. Huh? I Looooove the heroine, Cara Chay. She’s totally in control of the plot which is a ticking clock race to find a cure for a pandemic that threatens all human existence. I’m trusting her for a thrilling ride and a happy ending.
