Thanks! I always love to see all the diverse views and opinions one can find in blogland.
Do you read excerpts?
Not usually. They just frustrate me, because if I like what I’m reading, then I want to continue reading the book and I can’t!
Do you enter contests?
Yes, but only if the prize is books, and if I really do want to read the books offer.
What are your favorite prizes? What are the worst?
Well, obviously, books. It’s not that I don’t like the other stuff, but Uruguayan customs are a pain in the but, and only books get a completely free pass. For anything else, I’d have to pay import duties.
What is the bestest thing you have ever won?
*g* A book, again. A Liz Carlyle, which I really, really wanted to read.
What are the questions you wish more people asked authors?
I’m most interested in hearing about upcoming books and which other authors the author likes to read.
What do you never want to see asked again?
Weeeell, not really “never want to see asked again”, but I’m least interested in the business side of publishing and writing. Yeah, yeah, I know it’s important and I should care, but frankly, all the talk of advances, and sell-through rates and so on bores me to tears.
Do you even read author interviews?
If it’s an author whose books interest me.
What author has the bestest web site evah? The worst?
GAh! I’ve no idea!
Do you read excerpts?
It depends on if I’m interested in the genre. If so, I’ll give it a peek. 🙂
Do you enter contests?
If they’re free and easy, lol. I’m a total prize whore.
What are your favorite prizes? What are the worst?
I like book prizes, esp with goody extras. Worst are things that break or are utterly useless (and yet, I’m so excited to get when they arrive.)
What is the bestest thing you have ever won?
Two signed Gen13 original release comic books. I was the only girl there and I’d never won a thing before that. Nothing like the groans of dozens of desperate fan boys.
What are the questions you wish more people asked authors?
Not sure I’ve ever thought of one they don’t ask.
What do you never want to see asked again?
“Where do you get your ideas?”
Do you even read author interviews?
A few, particularly the controversial ones.
What author has the bestest web site evah? The worst?
You know, I’ve been to a bunch, but I’ve never had a sense that any one was the best or the worst. I hate those one page ones, though. Seems so…uninteresting.
Dee

What is the bestest thing you have ever won? Free books.
What are the questions you wish more people asked authors? Hmm, I don’t know but I really don’t care for the random questions like, Where do you get your inspirations from…most of the time, I really don’t care where they got their inspiration from, as long as they get it and write good books.
What do you never want to see asked again? Hmmm, lots of things.
Do you even read author interviews? Sure do.
What author has the bestest web site evah? The worst?

What is the bestest thing you have ever won?

What are the questions you wish more people asked authors?
Gosh, don’t they ask everything already?
What do you never want to see asked again?

What author has the bestest web site evah? The worst? a) I love Sherrilyn Kenyon’s site and Donna Kauffman’s is nice to navigate. b) I do not like it when authors do not keep their sites updated (like a year out of date), and Cherry Adair’s site looks really cool, but is sometimes difficult to navigate.
