Sandy M’s review of Ms. Fortune by Jay Crownover
Romantic Suspense published by Jay Crownover 17 Mar 25
Lucky and Risky. You can’t get two people any more opposite than they are. Lucky has the worst luck you’ve ever seen, all the while trying to keep her and her grandparents’ dream alive. Risky is also trying to begin a new life away from the greed and violence he’s seen his whole life. Bringing them together is brilliant.
Lucky’s bad luck goes from bad to worse as she gets closer to opening the lodge her grandparents gave their lives to. Now she wants the same dream. But the closer it all gets, things out of the blue come along to derail every little bit of happiness for herself and others she’s trying to do. Her new inept handyman, Risky, tries to keep her and the opening on track, but the more crazy and dangerous incidents happen, the more he has a feeling he knows what’s going on.
And to a point, he’s right. But there’s plenty of twists and turns in between to keep you guessing how it’s all going to end. I like that Risky doesn’t give up on Lucky, no matter how much she believes she’s not good for anyone because of her “luck.” And he steps up where necessary to make sure she’s safe and loved.
True romance with a few giggles along the way. Be sure to read this one. You’ll be become a Jay Crownover fan for sure.
