Veena’s review of Triple the Fun (Billionaires and Babies, Book 7) by Maureen Child
Contemporary Romance published by Harlequin Desire 05 May 15
I found this story very cute and refreshingly different. Do you remember that comedy with this guy who was a sperm donor in his youth, causing him to be a father of hundreds of children? In this case it was only the one time that yields triplets and they’re thirteen months old by the time the legal paperwork for child support catches up with the father. Connor King is not happy and definitely not willing to pay child support, but he does want his children, much to the dismay of their legal guardian and aunt Dina. It’s pretty clear where this story is going to go, but, nevertheless, it’s an enjoyable and sometimes emotional ride.
Dina Cortez loves her orphaned thirteen-year-old niece and nephews but is definitely struggling to manage their care while trying to get her fledgling catering business off the ground. Her lawsuit for legal support from their father, billionaire Connor King, does not have the desired effect. Unexpectedly, he’s willing and able to play the role of father, and, if she’s not careful, she’ll get engulfed in the wave he generates.
I quite enjoyed the domestic scenes of handling the baby care between the two. Connor can give the children all the benefits his wealth can buy, but he also gives them love and attention that Dina just did not expect. He’s also supportive of her needs and desires, particularly her professional aspirations. As the two get closer together, is the best solution for them a marriage of convenience that allows them both to share the children they’ve grown to love? Can there be room for more?
Take a break and come along for the ride as Dina and Connor figure it out.
