Veena’s review of Unforgiven (Deep Ops, Book 5) by Rebecca Zannetti
Romantic Suspense published by Lyrical Underground 07 Jun 22

Fast-moving suspense at its best.  The last thing Emma needs while she is hiding away from her stalker is attention. But attention she has from the handsome professor with the sexy English accent. They’ve barely made a connection when their two worlds collide, and all hell breaks loose.

Jethro’s sociopathic twin escapes from prison and arrives in the US hell bent on seeking revenge.  He targets Emma as Jethro’s chink in his armor, and it is chilling how Fletcher stalks Emma and how close he comes to her and her young daughter.  At the same time, he turns the wolves lose on Emma by informing her stalker boyfriend where to find her. Now all bets are off as Jethro and a couple of his buddies from MI6 figure out how to trap and capture Fletcher while keeping Emma safe.

Jethro has assisted with the Deep Ops team on prior cases, and, despite all his wishes to the contrary, they jump in to help him with his quest on both fronts. The body count keeps adding up, and for a while it looks like Fletcher is definitely winning; but the folks at Deep Ops and the Mi6 are definitely no slouches and manage a respectable finish.

The suspense, the romance, the chemistry, and the emotional connection to the characters is strong and makes this an excellent entry into this series.
