This is another delightful story of the Texas Farraday clan. I enjoyed spending time with Kelly and Ian and the matchmaking puppies. I usually get tired of a series long before now, so I can’t believe I am looking forward to the last two books in the series.

Being a Texas Ranger, Ian Farraday promised his mother he would not find a woman behind bars. But that’s exactly what he does. When his sister’s childhood friend, Kelly Morgan, is jailed for a DUI because she couldn’t walk a straight line after being in five-inch heels as a bridesmaid, the local police release her to Ian as a higher ranking law enforcement officer. Ian takes his custody of Kelly seriously and drives her home to Tucker’s Bluff.

One thing leads to another and they discover her father is trying to rescue cows from being slaughtered for food, because he’s become a vegetarian and is senile in his old age. Plus, the matchmaking dogs are at it again.  When one of the puppies gets into a compost pile and finds a chicken bone, Ian has to take the puppy into Adam’s vet clinic.  Kelly works for Adam, the oldest Farraday, so the dog is in the presence of both of them, and then after the dog has surgery and the puppy’s mother comes to greet Kelly and Ian, she blesses the match. I also like the ending where all the cattle rustlers are arrested and the mystery is solved.

This a cute, funny story, and I can’t wait to read the next one one. Again, Ms. Keniston has created a delightful tale that will bring enjoyment to an afternoon of reading. Jamison is Book 10 and I am quite ready for that adventure.

Summary:

Tuckers bluff isn’t done playing matchmaker for the Farraday’s. Welcome to Ian, book 9 in the Farraday Country series set in cattle-ranching west Texas, with all the friends, family and fun that fans have come to expect from USA TODAY Bestselling author Chris Keniston.

For Texas Ranger Ian Farraday, nothing beats catching bad guys, except family time in Tuckers Bluff. When fate steps in and brings him face-to-face with one curvy—and unforgettable—damsel in distress, all it takes is a stray puppy and a few missing cows to turn his ranch vacation upside down.

Attending a wedding isn’t supposed to land Kelly Morgan in jail. Lucky for her, the Farraday men are always ready to save the day—especially one long, tall Texan. Too bad the embarrassing mishap turns out to be the least of her worries. After all, every woman needs a knight in shining armor once—or twice—in a lifetime.
