Book 3 of the Made of Steel Trilogy is equally riveting as the first two. It is not a stand-alone; you will benefit from reading the previous books first. I enjoyed them so much I can still recall all the little details, and I am very happy with the ending, but it’s not what I expected when the trail of blood flows so freely. Download the books and hang on to your device. By the end, your hand will have a cramp from hanging on so tight.
Ivy Smoak creates intrigue that is totally unexpected, and my heart went out to these strong characters as they are consumed by the madness around them.
The bad guy could never be punished enough for all his depravity and I’m quite happy with his comeuppance. A swift death would have been too good for him. No, I didn’t tell you how the story ends. That you will have to find out for yourself.
It was a long, traumatic road Summer had to travel in her young life. I thoroughly enjoyed all the plot twists. The strength and integrity of her and the other characters really come out in this last book. She does get her happily ever after and no one ever deserved it more.
Although I still prefer stand-alones, I will be reading more from Ivy Smoak. Her dynamic writing style totally captivated my interest.
