Never Love a Lawman by Jo Goodman
384 pages is what it shows on amazon… wonder if that is right… I know the galleys aren’t in yet cuz wow that would be like Jo Goodman’s shortest book in a long ass time.
Sound very westernish, doesn’t it. Of course, it says historical on Amazon. hmmm…what do you think? JO!!!!!!!! Come tell us what your book is about. Please and thank you 🙂
Lawman immediately makes me think of western 🙂
I’m not that familiar with Goodman’s backlist. Is it possible this is a reprint? Did she do westerns back in the day?
We had a delightful conversation that was… gosh I want to say before The Price of Desire was complete. So everything is a mix and mesh in my mind as to what this book might be about.
I am pretty sure there is no way this is a reprint because she does about a book a year and they come out around Sept. And I was given the title from Kensington, saying that ANYTHING is possible.
I meant to email her that day but sadly my memory is what it is.
I have emailed her and I will beg if it comes to it *g*. She does have some older books in her back list that take place in the americas and IIRC… well I recall some nice things about what I think this book is about but I do not think it is a western.
I have thought about investing in the power of positive thinking and or maybe if we all just start blogging and saying IT IS DAMN IT! IT IS. Maybe we can make it so?
🙂 hey we might need to play dirrty pool to bring the western back although I do think Kate Duffy keeps telling me it hasn’t left.
Lawman says western to me, too. And I think the last Heart book (brothers separated as children?) was set in the States but I don’t think it was a western, was it?
I remember she did an interview not long ago at AAR, googled and found it, she said she wanted a change of setting, will be 1880’s in a Colorado mining town.
1880’s in a Colorado mining town… cool very much awesomeness
Does it tie into the others or am I thinking of Price of Desire still? I guess I could go check but tis is prolly with Sandy C, I still can’t seem to bring myself to visit a blog by someone who so hated blogs & bloggers ::shrug:: and she does so annoy.
Eh I will wait for jo to answer monday. Or you can go look for me :).
She didn’t say much else other than she wanted to do something different from regency for a change, no mention of any tie-in’s to any other books. Nothing at her site either last I looked.
Hey, just dropping in to say that those 384 pages of NLAL must have some teeny tiny print, because this book is exactly as long as all my others. My manuscripts generally hit 500 pages. This was no exception!
