limecello.jpg(At least to me…)ย

joyWell, friends, there are a number of things in the works, and because I’m crazy… I’ve decided to throw one more thing into the mix. It’s another way to avoid all the tasks I have in my “normal” every day life. Besides – romance publishing is much more fun than say… an Intellectual Property Journal.

Without further ado… Fridays. Random Fridays, throughout the year, we’re planning on (hoping to?) have Authors stop by and do their thing. [We’re thinking if/when these days occur, they will be on the first, and third Friday of each month. Potentially. Maybe. Possibly. Kinda. Sorta. Ish.] There may be contests – or there may not be contests. But honestly, isn’t the shining, wonderful presence of some of your favorite authors enough? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Well, it should be.

heartAnd… if it isn’t…too damn bad you’re in luck. I’ve been playing around with this idea in my head, and… I think I’m going for it. Considering how organized (HA!) I am… it’s going to be random. But what I’m trying to say is, I personally will be offering contests. I have a number of books, that yes, I myself bought … that I will tragically never read. (Or cannot imagine me reading within the next year, regardless of how long they have been in my possession.) That’s silly. Considering there are so many book lovers out there – why not share the love?

As you know, I’m big on sharing the love/happiness/schtuff. So I’m going to be giving away books. Ideally, once a month.ย  Most of them are categories (Ok I’m POOR, alright?) (i.e., for me, Harlequin/Silhouette imprints). I’ll use a randomizer for any comments I receive that month (on any post), and prizes shall be awarded. Thus, you don’t have to agree with me or anything. If you already have the book, or don’t like/want it, you are more than welcome to refuse. (In fact, I’d prefer it, because the point is to get these books to a place where they will be read and cherished.)

All these books I’m offering are also new. As in never read. My apologies now, but this is open to US residents only. (Guidelines will follow at some point, when I get to them.) However, I do have a few autographed trade size novels to give away as well. Of course, I might feel really generous. Or happen upon some windfall – so who knows. Maybe I will ship internationally. :X

author iconNow, back to more important matters. Guest authors and events. Our first lucky victim superstar, is Megan Hart. She will be visiting us on January 23, 2009. Mark your calendars!

And stop by often to find out who will be our next guest author. (Yes I realize this is actually the fourth Friday of the month, but we’re going to pretend the first week didn’t exist, because honestly – January is being greedy, claiming five of ’em and we’ve got to teach it a lesson!)

p.s. – Since writing this post, more information has come in. Anya Bast will be stopping in on Friday, February 6, 2009, to splash about the pond with all of us.
