Speaking as someone who is busy getting rid of her paper books and getting electronic instead, I have to say I’m delighted that DRM is on its way out. It doesn’t stop pirating, it’s just an annoyance, but it is going the same way as it did in music.
I would hate to go back to paper books now. I have a shelf full to read, and I keep going to the electronic file instead!
DRM free is the way to go just cuz the other way is SUCH a pain in the arse. I am sure bush’s new intellectual property czar will be on the case soon. At least for music and movies.
Guess the drug czar did (is? he still around?) did such a great job we will have more czars!
