I know you are very busy so I wanted to help you out and tell you that we are two days away from September 1st. We are no longer in July, so having a list of book sales that went on in July doesn’t help you or me. Honestly it is rather mean of you.
I would like to support the SAPL system by buying those trashy bodice rippers you seem to often not like even having with the ‘real books’. In fact I often take many of them just to get them out of your way. I rock like that.
I can’t do that if you don’t let me know WHERE and WHEN they are going on. Yes I know, the cellar in Downtown is open and selling books. I mentioned the DOWNTOWN part yes? Trust me, we want to keep sybil from driving downtown as much as possible, for my saftey as much as for others… really. So you would be doing not only the library a good thing by updating but the good people of the city as well. See… win/win.
And after talking to the nice lady downtown, it seems my only option at this point is to call each library. I do not think Wendy would approve of this option and she IS the super librarian (I am sure you knew that). Sadly I am to the point I may risk her wrath. And well I am annoying enough to do it but sadly the shiny will come along and distract me. I will still be amused but your library sale going on somewhere in the city will be less one person who would be all nice and buy books. I even help put books in right spots and stuff! And I only make noise about the insulting signs a few times. HONEST!
So please do us all a favor and update the book sale page. I KNOW you can because other things are updated. And really I would rather support you than pay hospital bills. Oh and you aren’t allowed to cause me stress you know… you so don’t want me to pull out my seizure card.

Ha! I’m sure San Antonio Public knows I’m the Super Librarian. I mean, really – how could they not!
Poor Sybs. At the very least they should take down the July information (like duh). And if they don’t have any sales planned for the near future, they should have something up saying, “no sales planned at this time” blah, blah, blah.
My library doesn’t even have a list of the new books coming in, let alone the ones they are selling off!
One of the libraries here doesn’t have a master calendar – you have to go to each branch library calendar to try to find if sales are going to happen. Which is almost like calling all of them. [Esp since they don’t know each other’s branch numbers and the pages are not updated]. 😛 Maybe if you email this post to the library something will happen.
Better yet, email them with the link in the SA newspaper (Express-News for those of you not in the area) when they pick up this story from the Blogburst feed. Heh heh.
HOLD ON! Relief is near! The SAPL webpage is undergoing a HUGE redesign to address most if not all the issues you are talking about.
