You didn’t think we’d have an Oscar party without giving out an award, did you? I suppose you’re wondering just what it will take to win, aren’t you?
ARE YOU SERIOUS?!! Have you not been paying attention all day today?
GEESH! Do I have to break out the sockpuppets cockpuppets HANDPUPPETS?!
Okay, one more hint then…
COMMENTS are involved. BUHAHAHAHAHAHA
What? Oh the book? Great Kisses: …and Famous Lines Right Out of the Movies (Hardcover) by Timothy Knight? THAT book?
Well, it was released January 8, 2008 by Harper Entertainment (Harper Collins). (How much do we love the folks at Harper Collins?!)
From Amazon:
Of all the grand visions conjured by the movies, few captivate us like that moment when the lovers on the big screen finally come together in a passionate kiss—one that pulls at our heartstrings and burns its way into our memories. In these larger-than-life images of romantic abandon, all the cinematic elements align, creating a magical moment full of promise, delicious anticipation, and heartfelt bliss.
A truly great movie kiss lingers with us long after the screen fades to black. There is the one that helped us nurse a broken heart. The one that set our pulses racing. And the kiss that inspired us to follow our dreams. Who can forget the way Humphrey Bogart sacrificed his own happiness for his true love Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca? The romantic fireworks generated by Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh in Gone With the Wind? Or the swoon-worthy first kiss of Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in Titanic?
Great Kisses compiles fifty beloved movie kisses—both classic and contemporary—with the famous lines that accompany them, and is a perfect keepsake for movie buffs and hopeless romantics alike. For in the movies and in Great Kisses, true love conquers all….

Sounds interesting, doesn’t it? Bet you wish you could read it, don’t you?
Well, here’s what you… oops… gotta go… Syb’s comin’ and I don’t want her to catch me hangin’ around here. She STILL doesn’t remember that she was gonna fire me as the Contest Duckie.
*pouncing on Bev* Oh no, you don’t!!! Not until you tell the world at large what’s going on here!!! *holding Bev* now, spill!!
(I’m oh so very exclamatory today… hmmm)
HAH! You have made a fatal mistake Azteclady! You have failed to take into account the power of my mighty Mom Hips as I fling you across the site while I make my escape! HAH… HAH-HAH!!
Don’t they have an ointment for that exclamatory problem of yours? Cuz, dude, I think it’s contagious!!
Movie kisses can be very…er, moving. *glances around worriedly to see if anyone else goes flying*
I love kissing… with tongues 🙂
My dream kiss would be on the between much like the movie From Here to Eternity! Call me Deborah 😉
Oooh, chick fight! Are cockpuppets going to be involved?!
Okay, best movie kiss, in my opinion, “Spiderman” when he’s hanging upside down. Just something so erotic about it…
First movie kiss that comes to mind for me is the one at the end of “A Knight’s Tale”. That was such an I’m-hungry-for-you-and-must-taste-you-now open mouth kiss!
*sigh* I loved that movie. It’s on my short list of all time favorites.
Katiebabs, you’ve been hangin’ around Syb too long. You’re even starting to speak in Sybilese.
One of my favorite movie kisses is the one between Richard Gere’s Lancelot and Julia Ormond’s Guinevere, in First Knight. I think it conveys a hunger between the two that is more than physical *grin* but then, I’m a romantic at heart *wink*
And Bev? I have mom hips too, so there! you are soooo on!
If I think of movie kisses the first one that comes to my mind is Rhett Butler and Scarlett O’Hara in Gone with the wind
I STILL ain’t talking, beotch!
[yet]
BUHAHAHAHAHAHA
I’m with Danny on this one. The first great movie kiss that comes to mind is from Gone with the Wind. And the second. And if I think more, I realize there are more than two great kiss scenes- right after Scarlet is widowed (again) – and when Rhett first leaves her at Tara after Atlanta is burned down. I absolutely loved Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh as Rhett and Scarlet.
My favorite kiss ever is The Notebook, kiss in the rain.
*blush* Bev.
Blame it on my lack of coffee this morning
teh srorry. 😉
here from eternity was good.
