Book 1

Blurb:

Hotshot private eye Ethan Darling regulary risks his life to collar dangerous criminals, but he’s pretty sure his latest assignment will be as easy as apple pie. He’s the new bodyguard for Georgiana Mundy, culinary queen and host of her own top-rated TV show. But while protecting the delicious diva from a man in her past, he’s surprised to find that it’s not just her delectable desserts that are making his mouth water.

It’s getting harder and harder for Ethan to keep his mind off the brunette bombshell and on his job. Soon he and Georgie are creating some incredible heat—both in and out of the kitchen. But if Ethan can’t hunt down the dangerous enemy out to destroy her, he and his new love are going to get burned.

Read an excerpt.

Ethan Darling takes his job seriously and begins to put together too much information. It scares Georgie to death that someone could uncover her secrets so quickly and thoroughly. Ethan is determined to get to the bottom of whatever or whoever is frightening this beauty. And then he’s determined to go after her himself.

The more time Georgiana spends with Ethan, the more she wants to learn about him.  It becomes difficult to fight both the unseen threat harassing her and Ethan’s kisses and caresses at the same time. Daring to trust someone for the first time in years, will Georgie also lose her heart to the one man who has secrets and trust issues of his own?

Although I don’t say it above, this book is so much fun! The first scene is absolutely terrific and it’s too bad most of us don’t meet men that way! Georgie is bright, beautiful, sexy, and has a positive outlook on life, even though life is not the best for her when she meets Ethan. He has a sense of humor, but it takes her to bring it out of him. Georgie and Ethan complement each other beautifully. The secondary characters are just as well written and they bring in the mystery and danger to the story.

I will definitely be reading Marianne Stillings again.
