This is a good D/s read for mainstreamers. He’s not harsh but there’s enough of the theme there to make it spicey. The love scenes are hot but the relationship felt kind of rushed. I’d have preferred a little less permanent resolution over one that was just too much trust too fast. But that’s one of the pitfalls of a really short story. Cute, sexy and fun. I’d happily try a longer title by Maggie Casper.

My first thought was she’s reading a “pillow book” and she’s paranoid someone’s watching her with it. Then I thought she may be getting creeped out by a scary book, so she’s looking over her shoulder. It comes across better when it’s bigger, though.
