GIVING THE DEVIL HIS DUDE

Shoveling sulfur and brimstone could really get a girl down. When her dad offered freedom from the fiery depths in exchange for one simple soul-snatching, Lucy Firr jumped at the chance. With her considerable powers of seduction, she threw herself at rancher Jed Caine. Yet instead of taking her to bed, he made her muck out the pigsty.

It would take the patience of a saint to resist the likes of Lucy Firr and Lord knew Jed was no saint. The temptress fired his blood like no woman he’d ever met. Why she’d suddenly latched on to him, he had no idea. But the safest place for her and her virtue was out in the barn.

Lucy could see the heat in Jed’s gaze. But it was the tenderness of his touch and his hard-won smile that undid her. She was supposed to steal his soul, yet here he was… capturing her heart.

I have been told the paranormal elements here are very light. Either way I can’t think of a western, historical, paranormal that I have read before…

I look forward to reading this… which looks like might be soon… hopefully… but OF COURSE after the books I have from four people who I loveses and adore for sending me their eARC’s ooooooohhhhhhhh so early.

I’m really looking forward to this book. Like you said, Sybil, I can’t think of a western…historical…paranormal that I’ve read recently :)

I can’t think of ANY western historical paranormals that I’ve read, ever. Groundbreaking!

I love this cover, the way she’s grabbing him by the collar as if to say, “listen up, honey; resistance is futile. You’re mine and that’s that.”

Yep, I can’t think of many either. And I’m not usually a big fan of comedies, but the combination of genres has got me interested, so I’d definitely check it out.

The only thing I don’t like about the cover is the background. It screams Western, which is great — but doesn’t seem to fit the font very well.

This is a historical?! You mean historical as in the 1980s?

LOL not to my knowledge mz Thomas. Did the devil not exist until then? :)

Hey – if there are any BDSM elements, that will make this the Book of All Sub-genres!

    LOL

Is it the hair, the clothes, or the gate? *g*

Susan Krinard has done some western/werewolf books. Also Beverly Long jumps to mind – she’s done a couple of time travel westerns.

I’m happy that we have another western to look forward to – but dang, does “paranormal” have to creep it’s way into every blessed sub genre out there?

And in case you care – I like this cover. Although the hero sorta looks like Billy from Melrose Place :)

I can’t WAIT to read this book–the premise sounds SO fun!

I really like the cover. The look on the couple’s faces seems to fit the blurb so perfectly!

The guy on the cover sorta reminds me of Simon Baker…which is not a bad thing at all. ;)

I feel like every time I see a western, I’m doing a little dance here cuz I get so excited knowing one is out! Lucky you on the ARC’s. Nothing on Amazon on it, so I assume it has to be a book for next year. I think they meant historical as 1880′s. It was probably a typo.
