I so thought I had posted this. It is the cover for Lisa Kleypas’s next Hardcover contemp, Blue-Eyed DevilI am thinking I mixed it up with all the times I saw it in Dallas. Lisa Kleypas had a big posterish copy of it and it would be an understatement to say she liked it ;).
I like this cover a lot! Looks good… but then everything I read from LK was good. 🙂
Where can I get a poster size copy of this book cover? Its gorgeous. I’m really looking forward to this book. I’m hoping Mine till Midnight will have an excerpt.
I can’t wait for this one. *sigh*
I can’t WAIT for this book! It’s funny cos I’ve never been a big fan of Lisa Kleypas’ historicals but I absolutely adored ‘Sugar Daddy’.
I think the best passage in the whole book is the one where Gage describes Hardy Cates to Liberty on page 119:
“I think he’s ambitious to the bone, works hard and plays harder…He’ll make and lose a couple of fortunes, and he’ll go through three or four wives. And he wants you because you’re his last hope of keeping it real. But even you wouldn’t be enough.”
This description sums up Hardy so heartbreakingly perfectly because although I so want it not to be accurate, I know it is.
I was delighted to hear that Hardy is getting his own book and a shot at redemption.
Roll on March 2008!
Sorry, make that page 339!
Thanks for the heads up on this book… I am really looking forward to it! Sugar Daddy is the first and only book I have read by Lisa Kleypas (so far) and I loved it. I met Lisa Kleypas at a book singing last March (a mere two weeks after also having met JR Ward) and think Lisa is wonderful. I look forward to finding the time to read some of her other novels.
Lisa now has an excerpt of ‘Blue-Eyed Devil’ in the Sneak Peeks section of her website. Roll on March!
I didn’t get SUGAR DADDY. I was told it was woman’s fiction, not romance. That too for this one? Or I got it all wrong? I love her historicals! Hope those will still be coming out.
Tell you what Cathie… I have a signed copy (signed for a give-away) of the Hardcover book. Tis yours if you can read it and send me a guest review by Feb 2008.
Good or bad, lisa’s a tough cookie, just needs to be an honest opinion of what you think of the book. If you are interested email me your address at redwyne @ redwyne dot com 🙂
