I wasn't sure I was going to continue to like Hardy Cates because of some of his behavior in Sugar Daddy where we first meet the man. However, I knew I would like him because, well, he is the hero of this book and I know he will be redeemed. I never dreamed, though, I would like love him as much as I do after listening to the audio version of his book. Its narrator, Renée Raudman, does a brilliant job of bringing this book to life, including making Hardy one damn fine sexy hero. Read more

Kleypas' second contemporary romance picks up where the first one left off. It's still in first person, it's set in Houston, and it's got a great Texas good ol' boy. I've got to say too, the cover is fabulous. That blue sky, the red earth (though just so everyone knows the picture looks more like West Texas than Houston, and yes, that is a 700 mile difference between the two places), and those low slung jeans on a swaggering male. Blue-Eyed Devil by Lisa Kleypas is following in Sugar Daddy's footsteps and stomping onto the New York Times List at #14.

Once - again - at 14 - just like Sugar Daddy... something most authors would die to get to say ;). But not Lisa.  Blue-Eyed Devil, even though it is more of a Romance than Sugar Daddy, is hitting most of the lists (like bookscan and the like) as a 'mainstream' title.

Blue-Eyed Devil by Lisa Kleypas **March 2008**

I so thought I had posted this. It is the cover for Lisa Kleypas's next Hardcover contemp, Blue-Eyed DevilI am thinking I mixed it up with all the times I saw it in Dallas. Lisa Kleypas had a big posterish copy of it and it would be an understatement to say she liked it ;).
