Hi, Cathy! I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed my previous books. It’s a little scary, having a book out after so many years. I just hope everyone likes it as much as they did my previous ones!
Awww, thanks, Teresa! I got my catalog for Rhapsody Bookclub last night. Scandalous Lovers is a Featured Alternate Selection . . . there it was on the return postcard and everything! So I now SOMEone liked it at Rhapsody. LOL Still, B&N.com have been shipping the book for over a week now, and no word on the net, not even a whisper of either love it or hate it. Scaaaary.
Hi Robin! It’s Seton/NYC Reader. I finally saw your latest plog entry as I was ordering SL from Amazon. A bit late, I know ๐
I was slightly surprised when Sybil pointed out that we have had to wait 3 years for SL to arrive. It felt longer, altho i admit 3 yrs is pretty long.
What I would be curious to know is did you ever do any last minute fiddling with SL during the long wait or was it a case of once you finished the manuscript four(?) years, it was writ in stone?
Hi NYC reader! Ooops! I guess I missed that when reading over Sybil’s intro. Sorry, Sybil! Actually, it’s been almost six years between books. Gabriel’s Woman was published in September 2001.
The finished manuscript for Scandalous Lovers was 957 pages. My editor felt it was too long, so I trimmed it to a svelt 748 pages. Which, actually, did make it a better book, I think. My only problem occurred with the copy editing, but that’s a different tale.
Thanks for the question! I’ve been trying to get on Amazon.com to post a new plog, but for some reason, my computer keeps feezing. Grrrr . . .
Yep Chances and Rock Star are two of the books I recall reading first around 13 while babysitting *g*.
Before that was VC Andrews, Sidney Sheldon and Danielle Steel. Those four with some Judith Krantz thrown in for taste make up the bulk of my reading from 12 to 16.
I’ve never read either Sidney Sheldon or Danielle Steel, Sybil. Of the two, who was your favorite, and why?

Hi Robin!
I can’t wait to get my copy of SL. Do you ever find that you love your characters soooo much that you keep writing and writing just so you don’t have to say good bye to them?
Well, yeah. . . . I confess, I didn’t want Scandalous Lovers to end. I just sort of kept looking at the page count in amazement (my page count was originally 957 pages), thinking I reallllly needed to end this puppy, yet my fingers just kept on typing. I thought about going for a rounded 1000 pages, but my characters finally said nope, we’re done now. I didn’t want it to end, though, because I did love my characters so much. Thanks for the question. I hope I answered it to your satisfaction. If not, give me a holler! ๐
Hi Robin, really enjoy your storytelling and have all your books on my keeper shelf. Can’t wait to get my hands on Scandalous Lovers.

I have a Robin Schone fangirl badge somewhere… now where did I put it…?
Karen . . . Karen Scott . . . Now why does that name sound familiar? *smile*
Hi, Karen! Thanks for joining me! It’s time to paaartay! Can I have a badge, too? I’m sometimes a fan of RS.
Hi Robin just wanted to let you know that I’m looking forward to reading Scandalous Lovers! I’m sure this will be better than your previous books.

I meant to make that change. Jane pointed that out and I haven’t done it yet.
I have only been reading romance for about three years soooooooo ;). I guess I made my wait everyones *g*
Oh, my! You’ve only been reading romance for 3 years, Sybil? However did you manage to learn about sex? :;
Jackie Collins… which explains soooooooooooo much ๐
HI, Robin and Sybil! Count me in for this one! ๐
;Jackie Collins . . . Oooooh. Dolls and sex. Yep, that explains everything, Sybil. ๐
Hi again, Bam! I’m so glad you find my new book of interest. Frances and James are two characters who are very close to my heart.
