He returned from death…
Venerable pharaoh, ancient god of the Nile, Adrian King once sat upon his throne and led his people nobly, only to be betrayed. But a sacred ritual has allowed him to reawaken thousands of years after his death—as a vampire. Now the owner of the Royal Palace hotel and casino in Las Vegas, he is haunted by dreams of a beautiful woman—and by the dawning of an evil presence.
…and brought her fantasies to life.
Egyptologist Christine Day is drawn to the Royal Palace by its breathtaking authenticity. She is the woman Adrian has been dreaming of, the only one who can evoke real sensual passions in this fierce warrior and leader. Compelled to share his well-kept secret with Christine, he puts her at great risk. For others have awakened who will not rest until Adrian is destroyed again, even if it means taking the only true love he’s ever known…
It is no secret two things I love, love, love are Las Vegas and Hotels. So this book caught my eye instantly. Well that and the fact that I tripped over it as I got home. WoOT! As I am sure you have clicked on the website (or SNAPPED! it), you are prolly wondering why the hell I linked to a dead site.
And even if you aren’t wondering I will tell ya anyway, cuz I am just that kind of girl. You may remember Elizabeth Guest from 1992 when she followed her father to Egypt and fell in love with Lord Jonathan Wicke.
no?
Okay fine you may remember her as the heroine in Suzanne Simmons Avon historical DESERT ROGUE.
or it could be that Suzanne Simmons tells us right on the front page of her website that Elizabeth Guest is the name she will be writing under at Berkley for her Paranormal series that is due out in April 2007. Yes I know… another vampire series…. but hey her editor is Cindy Hwang and so far her shit completely rocks. So who knows… I will tell ya what I think as soon as I can get to it.
Keep an eye on Elizabeth’s site, it is suppose to be up this winter. Or you can catch up with Suzanne Simmons at Running with Quills.
Because your posts always manage to confuse me since they’re written in Sybil-ese, which makes my head hurt to be try to be fluent in, I have to ask: is the book released yet? Do you have an actual copy that you will read and actually post a review for? And why no link to somewhere with information for us poor readers. Like maybe…Amazon? Dammit, Sybil, stop making this so hard for me 😉
the big picture of the man in the tux… click it… tis goes to Amazon LOL I will make the title link too hows that 😉
You did click the more button right? Click the authors name… the suzanne one there is more info
hmmm do you not see a MORE to click on? I mean hell angie I said
LOL that is pretty clear for me 😉
And yes I do have it… hence the tripping over it *g*
Suzanne said that her site will hopefully be up February 1st. I’ll give you a heads up, if you like–she’ll email me because I need her site info to do an interview.
LOL that is pretty clear for me That’s because YOU wrote it! This is why authors have editors. Everything is clear in your own mind, it’s when other people read it…not always so clear.
I admit that when I first picked this book up, just by the very category romance-ish, Billionare’s Missing Sheik’s Next Friend’s Baby look to it, I was un-enthused, but half way through I find it to be much better than the cover.
Cool May, I have never read her. She any good?
Angie… really? Good night I am one of the first to admit sybilish is not for the weak but that sentence tells ya everything you asked… author name – check, release date – check, hell I gave the publisher!
I don’t mind the cover jane but I don’t like THAT guy.
Ahh, the cover slut of my dreams. Sorry but I love this guy. He’s dreamy! (said in a sadly fan-girl sorta way) When I fantasize, guess who’s head is on Cena’s body? The slut’s, of course! 😉
