Sandy Coleman recently posted some really exciting news about AAR After Hours.

Wait… What is that you say? Tis All About Romance’s blog, yes the same site that on September 4, 2006 said in one of Anne Marble ATBF:

“The only thing really new about these debates is the fact they are happening on blogs. The venue makes things different because blog owners have no need for balance. This is fine so long as everyone understand the difference between blog and sites like AAR.

While explaining why blogs are sub par to the greatness of the All About Romance. Which had been pointed out by their publisher in August of 2006 as well:

Given AAR’s longevity and the current blog explosion, I think we’ve finally achieved a level of status so that we’re not considered the meanies on the block anymore.

Guess that is why they are

…number one site on the Web for those who read and love romance novels.

If you question that just scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the link to their stats. Since they are repeatedly telling romanceland how well they are doing (causing them to raise rates on their ad but more on that in an upcoming series) it is great they back that up with public numbers. Oh wait… never mind… that page is the Smart Bitches. Guess that is what makes them so smart?

Anyhoo since they couldn’t beat the blogs they joined us (along with many other review sites but more on that in an upcoming series) on September 3rd, 2006. I thought this was grand, in fact it is something I thought they should have done a long time ago but we won’t get into the reception that suggestion had.

When I joined romanceland, All About Romance really was the only place for romance news. Dear Author and Smart Bitches Who Love Trashy Novels were not around to bring up to the minute news and info about romanceland. So I thought it would be really nifty they would finally be blogging. Bring news and info out when it happened and not just reacting to it in their ATBF or repeatedly saying ‘well you know we knew first’ on their message board.

Does knowing first count if no one read it or remembers you did?

So go join Sandy in celebrating having 70,649 hits for their 103 entries and their 447 comments. Who cares if the comments are mostly by staff and those hits prolly count the the 11 AAR staff members who blog and the other staff watch them.

Lurkers needs love too! And for god sake comment, it is getting sad watching them repeatedly ask for them. Hey and don’t forget, you can pay to advertise on the blog, so you to can enjoy the love of all those lurkers!

Is this sort of like that super secret support people get in flame wars? You know the… ‘Thanks to all those lovely emails you guys have sent me telling me I am right! I am so happy for your silent support!’

Are you really all that popular if you have to tell people? Or is there proof is it true… if you say it is so it will be?
