Okay, so I have a new book coming out. .
It finishes up a secondary romance left hanging in the second book of the Royal Brotherhood trilogy, even though THIS series is called The School for Heiresses.
Sigh. I can never travel in a straight line.
But this time I can blame it on my publisher. I TOLD them that readers would want Simon and Louisa’s book after reading To Pleasure a Prince (I sure wanted to write it), but the Powers That Be didn’t believe me and they were too excited about the new series to let me waste time writing a book that was essentially an offshoot of the old series.
Then To Pleasure a Prince took off and the e-mails started and . . . turns out I was right. Hah! That hardly ever happens. So I compromised.
I worked it into the new series. And that’s how I came to write a book that straddles two series. I’m just praying readers don’t find it too weird.
Unfortunately, he still excites her as much as she does him and that leads them both into trouble, especially when his ulterior motive for marriage is exposed. But there’s more to Simon than meets the eye and once Louisa unveils the deeply buried secrets of his past, she vows to make him pay…and the price will be his heart.
Sounds like a good book!
I love the books I have read by Sabrina Jeffries.Pam a freind of mine, asked me to read one of her books and I then would have to read them all, they were that good. Pam was so right, and I am so glad she asked me, I have her new one only a duke will do ,and read it, and loved it. And now can not wait for school for Heiresses: lessons in love. I guess my comment: is thank you for work. I really love your style.
Wow, thanks, Joy and Jennifer! And tell your friend, Jennifer, that I appreciate the good word. So glad she got you hooked! 🙂
I’m also relieved to hear that you enjoyed Only a Duke. It’s kind of a weird book in that it deals with Regency politics, but hopefully I don’t overdo the political thing to the extent that readers’ eyes glaze over. And it does have a monkey. That should count for something, right? 😉 Actually, an s/sf artist friend of mine claims that the monkey doesn’t count because he doesn’t throw monkey poo in the book. I told her no poo would ever be thrown in any book of mine! Ewww! Sorry, but I draw the line at poo.
Only a Duke Will Do sounds wonderful! Can’t wait to add it to my collection!
That’s so neat that you added them to your new story just to please everyone. I can’t wait to read it!
