REVIEW: The Wallflower by Dana Marie Bell
Limecello’s review of The Wallflower by Dana Marie Bell
Paranormal romance released by Samhain Publishing 15 Apr 08
I’d heard of this book before it was released, bought it near the end of 2009, but only read it a few days ago. Just felt that little tidbit was relevant. I read it on one of the plane rides back home from RonCon, and it was a perfect for that – a quick read, with the requisite happy ending. read more…
REVIEW: The Renegade Hunter by Lynsay Sands
Lawson’s review of The Renegade Hunter (Argeneau Vampires, Book 12) by Lynsay Sands
Paranormal Romance published by Avon 29 Sep 09
Here is another installment in the Immortals series by Lynsay Sands. Sure, they’re called vampires since they drink blood and have fangs, but blood-sucking fiends they’re not. At least that’s what they’ll say. There are times when these vampires go rogue, eat “off the hoof” and break the few rules laid down by the Council. This book starts where the Immortal Hunter ends, though it’s back with the Willians, from The Rogue Hunter.
REVIEW: The Smuggler and the Society Bride by Julia Justiss
Liviania’s review of The Smuggler and the Society Bride (Regency Silk and Scandal, Book 3) by Julia Justiss
Historical romance released by Harlequin Historical 1 August 2010
Sometimes, reading historical romances, it seems like getting caught in a compromising position is just how people proposed two hundred years ago in England. Therefore I found the premise of The Smuggler and the Society Bride intriguing because Lady Honoria Carlow did not marry the man who was caught compromising her. They weren’t already in love or fell in love after their quick marriage. They were just two people caught up in someone else’s revenge. No, she was thoroughly ruined and fled to her aunt’s home in Cornwall.
REVIEW: If He’s Wild by Hannah Howell
Holly‘s review of If He’s Wild (Wherlocke 3) by Hannah Howell
Historical Paranormal Romance released by Zebra 25 May 2010
It’s no secret that I’m a total Hannah Howell fangirl. I own every book she’s ever written – and multiple copies of my favorites. I stopped reading the Murray series awhile back because I felt it was becoming very repetitive, but that hasn’t stopped me from buying them. read more…
REVIEW: CEO’s Expectant Secretary by Leanne Banks
Limecello’s review of CEO’s Expectant Secretary by Leanne Banks
Contemporary romance released by Silhouette Desire 8 Jun 10
This book is the last of the Kings of the Boardroom series. I enjoyed the series very much, and have said time and again that Leanna Banks is one of my favorite category authors. It was a great finish and I liked the book even more than I expected to. Why? Because I really dislike the revenge type plots, or trying to sabotage someone, but here, it worked. Nobody was truly a villain, and I liked all the characters.

REVIEW: If He’s Sinful by Hannah Howell
Holly‘s review of If He’s Sinful by Hannah Howell
Historical Paranormal Romance released by Zebra 01 Dec 2009
I’m really glad to see Howell moving away from her Murray series and into new territory. Though I am concerned that she’s planning to exchange one large, eccentric family for another. read more…
REVIEW: Inhuman Resources (OSI, Book 3) by Jes Battis
Liviania’s review of Inhuman Resources (OSI, Book 3) by Jes Battis
Urban fantasy released by Ace 25 May 2010
I’ve seen the OSI (Occult Special Investigator) novels on shelves and on blogs, but Inhuman Resources is the first book in the series I’ve actually read. For people who like CSI and its ilk, Inhuman Resources is a good urban fantasy version of the forensic genre. And for all the detecting urban fantasy heroines do, it’s fun to read about one who actually is a member of the magical law enforcement.

REVIEW: A Kiss at Midnight by Eloisa James
C2’s review of A Kiss at Midnight by Eloisa James.
Historical romance, released by Avon 27 July 2010
The story of Cinderella is the jumping-off point for Eloisa James’ latest book, A Kiss at Midnight. All the elements are there, if slightly altered. We have a girl whose circumstances were drastically changed by her stepmother after the death of her father, a handsome prince in a castle, a godmother, a ball, glass slippers and even some rats…although not the rodent kind. read more…
