REVIEW: A Precious Inheritance by Paula Roe
Dinca’s review of A Precious Inheritance by Paula Roe
Contemporary Romance published by Harlequin Desire 2 Oct 12
There is a lot of passion between the pages and linen sheets of this book. It is very enjoyable to read about the rich people having passion for something other than what comes with a life of wealth. The back story is alive with the characters having personalities of their own so that you also enjoy reading about then and they’re not just used as filler.

I’m writing a series about rock musicians, Nightstar, so I’ve been immersing myself in rock music and stories about the musicians. Some of my wasted youth was spent hanging around rock musicians (no, not that), and rock music always finds its way onto my current playlist. So when I had the opportunity to read this book, I grabbed it eagerly.
REVIEW: Unclaimed Bride by Lauri Robinson

Harlequin Historical published by Harlequin 16 Oct 12
Cute. Sweet. Adorable. How many adjectives can I put in here? Oh well, how about one more. It is an adorable little tale. Starts out in England and ends in Wyoming by way of New York and Virginia. This part I find a little unusual. It makes the heroine sound a little like the Roaming Gnome. I did keep turning the pages, all 288 of them. This is not a Love Inspired. It does have some very tasteful sex scenes.
REVIEW: Hot Ticket: Sinners on Tour by Olivia Cummings
Veena’s review of Hot Ticket (Sinners on Tour, Book 4) by Olivia Cunning
Erotic Romance published by Source Books Casablanca 05 Feb 13
This is my very first book by this author and I had heard a lot of praise for her before I started this book, so I had very high expectations going in. While the book has the ingredients to make it great: Jace who is a tortured soul with a very painful past and Aggie, a strong female protagonist, a dominatrix with all the right tools to release Jace’s pain, it just never made the right emotional connection for me and, therefore, instead of finding romance I just felt like I was reading porn. read more…

Women are finding their place in the special forces and now even into the elite SOAR, the units that are dispatched into areas so dark that their missions are invisible to all but the very highest echelon in the military. Connie Davis is the newest addition to the elite DAP helicopter team stationed in the Hindu Kush mountains. Born with a genius IQ and then orphaned at a tender age with no close relatives, she has been an outsider all her life. Will she be able to make her place in this tight-knit team and finally find the family she has lacked all her life? In this newest entry in the Night Stalker series, the author beautifully blends high-tech military technology, action, adventure, suspense with achingly beautiful romance.

REVIEW: Rush by Maya Banks
Sandy M’s review of Rush (The Breathless Trilogy, Book 1) by Maya Banks
Contemporary Erotic Romance published by Berkley Trade 5 Feb 13
Damn. Between Maya Banks and Sylvia Day, I find myself in a constant state of lust, totally hot and bothered lately. And that’s actually putting it mildly. Ms. Banks’ new Breathless Trilogy begins with Gabe, a man who’s been betrayed and makes damned sure no woman will ever make a fool out of him again. Even Mia, the girl who has grown into a woman he wants like no other. Even if she is his best friend’s little sister.
REVIEW: One Less Lonely Cowboy by Kathleen Eagle
Wendy the Super Librarian‘s review of One Less Lonely Cowboy by Kathleen Eagle
Contemporary Romance published by Harlequin Special Edition 19 Feb 13
Kathleen Eagle has been writing and publishing for a long time, and I have read her books before. A long time ago. A few single title contemporaries that I recall really enjoying. Why I didn’t keep on reading her, especially since she’s back to working within category romance, I have no clue. Too many books, not enough time I suspect. One Less Lonely Cowboy is a good reintroduction and reminds me that what I enjoyed most about my past experiences with Eagle’s work is her way with characters.
