REVIEW: The Summer He Came Home by Juliana Stone
Sandy M’s review of The Summer He Came Home (Bad Boys of Crystal Lake, Book 1) by Juliana Stone
Contemporary Romance published by Sourcebooks Casablanca 2 Apr 13
This is my first Juliana Stone book. I can tell you right now, it won’t be my last. This is a great start to a series that has the potential to be very, very good. If Ms. Stone is able to keep the pace of this book, along with giving readers intriguing characters, she has a huge hit on her hands.
EXCERPT: Undone by Sara Humphreys
If you’re not a shapeshifter fan, get ready to be converted. Sara Humphreys’ characters lead lives as simple as possible, but all of that has changed recently, civil war tearing the Amoveo apart, Purists vs. Loyalists. Marianna has been targeted by the Purists, and it’s up to Pete to keep her safe.
Taking the situation in hand, Pete does what he has to to do his job. Marianna eventually comes around, but it’s fun for all getting there. There’s also plenty of action, subduing the enemy in the shifter way.
So take a few minutes to meet these fascinating characters, and then be prepared to make a run to your local bookstore to stock up on the series!
Summary:
Party girl Marianna Coltari is an unmated pureblood Amoveo who wants nothing to do with the ongoing war that took her father’s life and continues to consume her brother Dante’s. But when she is targeted by one of the clans, she has little choice but to run and hide in a cabin with Pete Castro, a retired cop from her brother’s security firm. There, Pete and Marianna explore an intensifying attraction between them until danger is at the door and there’s no escape.
DUCK CHAT: Getting to know Sara Humphreys
Shapeshifters are one of my favorite reads, so you can imagine how much I love these Amoveo from Sara Humphreys.
I had the pleasure of meeting Sara last August at the RWA conference in Anaheim. I know she won’t remember that, too many readers she said hello to during those days, but I’m glad I was able to let her know how much I enjoy the shapeshifter world she’s created.
So this is a chance for all of us to get to know Sara a bit better. Sit back and enjoy!
REVIEW: Undone by Sara Humphreys
Sandy M’s review of Undone (The Amoveo Legend, Book 4) by Sara Humphreys
Paranormal Romance published by Sourcebooks Casablanca 7 May 13
Unfortunately for me, I’ve so far read only the first book in this series. Because I’m a huge shapeshifter fan, Sara Humphreys has created a world perfect for a reader like me. So it’s all my fault that I’ve missed some good books by getting so behind in my reading. But that doesn’t mean it needs to happen to you! If you haven’t started this series yet, now is a good time – and start at the beginning for some terrific shifting stories.

Sandy M’s review of Before the Larkspur Blooms (Prairie Hearts, Book 2) by Caroline Fyffe
Historical Romance published by Montlake Romance 28 May 13
I always look forward to Caroline Fyffe’s books. She has this seemingly easy but emotional way of pulling readers into her stories, creating characters who are real, with life’s issues just like you and me, even if they live and breathe hundreds of years ago on the American frontier.
REVIEW: Surrender to the Earl by Gayle Callen
Veena’s review of Surrender to the Earl (Brides of Redemption, Book 2) by Gayle Callen
Historical Romance published by Avon 28 May 13
This is another instance where I picked up a series in the middle and just ran with it. Three friends and officers made a decision that cost three men in their command their lives. Now back in England each one seeks redemption by visiting the family of the slain officer to make some form of reparation. Audrey Blake is blind and leads a secluded life in the bosom of her family. When Robert Henslow, Earl of Knightsbridge, comes calling on his mission of redemption, she seizes the opportunity to carve out a life that she has always dreamed of living.
