REVIEW: Two of a Kind by Susan Mallery
Veena’s review of Two of a Kind (Fool’s Gold, Book 11) by Susan Mallery
Contemporary Romance published by Harlequin 25 Jun 13
So we’re back in the town of Fool’s Gold with socially awkward brilliant Felicia and tortured hunk Gideon. Hats off to this author who has been able keep each book so fresh and appealing, even though we are now at the twelfth book in the series. Gideon and Felicia share a history that has assured she will always remember him; however, the last place she expects to see him again is in tame all-American Fool’s Gold.
REVIEW: Jaguar Fever by Terry Spear
Sandy M’s review of Jaguar Fever (Jaguar Series, Book 2) by Terry Spear
Paranormal Romance published by Sourcebooks Casablanca 6 Aug 13
Terry Spear is one of my favorite authors when it comes to shapeshifters. Her werewolves have a definite spot on my keeper shelf. This is my first time reading her jaguars. While I like this book, I think it’s going to be difficult to eclipse her wolves.

REVIEW: Wicked Beat by Olivia Cunning
Veena’s review of Wicked Beat (The Sinners on Tour, Book 5) by Olivia Cunning
Contemporary Erotic Romance published by Sourcebooks Casablanca 06 Aug 13
I’ve read such rave reviews of this author’s work that I absolutely had to read Hot Ticket when I got that chance. It was probably not the first book by her to have read and, consequently, it didn’t do much for me. Wanting to give the author another chance for a spot on my bookshelf, I picked up a her latest, and I now definitely have a deeper understanding of why her work is so popular. read more…
EXCERPT: Her Ladyship’s Curse by Lynn Viehl
Lynn Viehl has a new venture – a series of steampunk novels set in an America that didn’t win the War of Independence, and so is still a British feifdom. Into this world steps a fascinating new character, a young woman who is setting herself up as an investigator of paranormal activity. Not that she believes in it!
Add one of Viehl’s typically delicious heroes, and the stage is set for a great new series. Here’s an excerpt to whet your appetites! read more…
GUEST BLOG: My Secret Victorian Life Lynn Viehl
I always write my novels for my readers, but there are books that I write for myself as well. A great deal of what I wrote in the StarDoc series was loosely based on my experiences working in the medical field. In the Darkyn novels I used some of my favorite characters from history as models for my immortals. I even turned my dad the chef into a minor character in one of my Kyndred books (and put him in charge of the restaurant he always wanted, too).
REVIEW: Her Ladyship’s Curse & His Lordship Possessed by Lynn Viehl
LynneC’s review of Her Ladyship’s Curse & His Lordship Possessed (Disenchanted & Co., Books 1 & 2) by Lynn Viehl
Steampunk published by Pocket Star 11 Aug 13
Lynn Veihl’s new work is set in the steampunk world of pseudo-Victoriana and magic. It’s a complete departure from her previous work and is less dark in tone. The characters are three-dimensional and fascinating and could easily sustain a series. It’s written in the first person.

REVIEW: Found At Sea by Anne Marie Duquette
Dinca’s review of Found At Sea by Anne Marie Duquette
Contemporary Romance published by Harlequin Heartwarming 1 May 13
Never let facts mess up a good story. I will have to stand by that premise for this book. Found at Sea has a good storyline, but as a diver I have an issue with the facts. However, you will find strong characters and amazing situations. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.
