Gwen started this forever ago and honestly I forget why. Like all things which look difficult and like they are lots of work I just didn’t click on the page. What? It works for me.
Wendy, dear sweet wendy doesn’t work that way and she clicked… ::giggle::
So behold the power of the updated 2008 Review Page
It is still a bit wonky but I am sure gwen will come along and fix it at some point.
And yes if you click on some reviews the formatting might be wonky as well from the last move (maybe) dunno we are working on that…
I think it’s very cool. And I need to write more reviews. And it’s just in time to start a 2009 index.
Yeah, Lime’s section isn’t lining up right and I know Nikki’s section needs to be fixed. But after finishing up Sandy’s section, my eyeballs needed a break.
Honestly, I was just sad that my reviews weren’t on the page – which is why I agreed to such torture in the first place. I’m nothing if not a little vain.
someone tell me not to do this
really that is just an evol time suck….
Gwen has a project from hell going on so I am sure she will come along and remind me the point.
I am thinking it might make more sense to do it in a way to make it tag driven so a reader could click ‘B’ and get all B reviews. Or Pocket and get all Pocket reviews. Or ‘Wendy’ and get all wendy reviews…
it would be more time to set up I think (sez she who knows jack about tables) but easier in the long run for up keep and cooler to play with… really I mean right now you can get all that info it would just be on one page with maybe an easy to understand how to guide done by our super wendy 🙂
or not, whatev I iz the easy and I am talking about 2009 not redoing 2008 so don’t hurt me
Yeah, I saw Holly’s post over at BB. No way in heck am I touching that. It is an evol time suck! LOL
Right now the reviewers all put their name as tags on their review posts. So you could click on their name and get all their reviews. Of course, you’d also get all their ponderings and whatnot – but all the reviews would be listed there as well.
I think the method behind Gwen’s madness was that this list would show you, at a glance, the grades the reviewer assigned. So you could see how many C grades I’ve handed out in the last year. Or how many DNFs a certain reviewer has. That sort of thing. On that level I think this list is kind of neat. Also to see, holy shit!, how many books some people review. Dayum
In an ideal world, we’d have an advanced search function where you could search by reviewer name, then click on a box for “reviews” and a box for the year to limit the results. But that’s in a perfect world, and I have no idea how the heck to set up something like that. I’m not that smart.
