So it’s been a bit quiet about the pond here. I’m sure those of you on twitter have noticed Syb being quiet as well. Unfortunately our dear duckie has had an incident and has been away from her computer.
Sybil is in the hospital undergoing some tests, they don’t know exactly what’s wrong, or even how long she’ll be there. If you you’ve emailed her in the past couple of days, that’s why she hasn’t responded. There will be some more updates after she finds out more and can come home from the hospital.
Thanks everyone. 🙂
Oh man, that’s just… yikes!
Lawson, I wouldn’t want to overwhelm her with email, can you just tell her I’m thinking of her and wishing her a prompt bounce back to full health?
Same message from me!
Here’s hoping that the good medics figure out what is wrong so that they can have her on the mend as soon as possible.
Sending my good health wishes, too.
Yes, sending lots of caring and good thoughts Sybil’s way. Take care!
Oh no, well wishes to Sybil. Hope they figure out what it is quick and nothing seroius.
Hope you feel better soon, Sybil.
Sending my good wishes along, too.
I hope for a speedy diagnosis and recovery for Sybil.
Let’s hope the diagnosis will be ok. Sybil has been released and is in the tender, loving care of her mother. Since they told her she can’t drive for a week. :/
Moms, what would we do without them?! They are awesome. I hope the test results come back okay.
Thank you for the update. I hope she is up and quacking soon!
Glad Sybil is on the mend. Hope all works out well!
Glad to hear that Syb is on the mend. Hopefully they will finally figure out what is wrong and get it solved.
Adding my get well soon wishes!
Thanks for the info, Lawson. I’m sending get well wishes to Sybil, too. Hoping some answers come her way asap.
I wanted to add my get well wishes, too! Take care, Sybil.
Thank you for the update, Lawson.
I’m keeping her in my thoughts and prayers, hoping she gets a definite answer and feels 100% better soonest!
Well wishes to Sybil.
I know what tha’ts like, my mom is back in hospital as well but docs can’t figure out what’s wrong. We had wanted ot be home for the holidays, but now I’m not so sure we’ll make it.
Oh, crap, not again!
Hope everything checks out and you are back in no time, Sybil!
I am alive and was released from the hospital yesterday afternoon…
I am currently under house arrest. I want my damn car back. ::sniff::
Still have no memory of what happened other than I was loading my car (with books) and guess I blacked out. Someone called 911 and said there was a woman passed out in the street.
At some point I got up, left my car open and books in the street, got to my apartment, unlocked the door and put the keys on the table I always do. I must have than laid down on the couch cuz I was there when the banging started on the door.
I didn’t what had happened, that I was hurt, or why the fuck EMS was at my apartment.
They have ruled out tumors and I do not have a blood clot. They are thinking it is very likely not seizures but I just spent 3 days hooked up to an EEG so we will hopefully be able to rule that out.
From there we go to checking out my heart…
Or it could be caused by the panic attacks, I like that idea because it is the treatable opinion with no surgery.
Thank you all for your thoughts, emails, well wishes and I will say sorry now for being a whiny bitch cuz I am but dude I hurt.
Take my advice, never fall on your head without even trying to catch yourself. There is not one mark on the palms of my hands. So I didn’t even try to break the fall.
What an ordeal. I hope they figure out what happened. It’s not good if it’s something that could happen again. Glad you’re at least at home.
I hope your are feeling better soon.
Oh… this is sort of the second time
In July at a work party I fainted, they thought I had a seizure but we were never really sure.
Which is why my life is being so screwed now… my mother is just about to lock me in the house. I am going to have to move home but right now we are looking out how I can live ALONE again.
le sigh
I am going to have to move home but right now we are looking out how I can live ALONE again.
Can you get a roommate?
That just sucks. Big round ones. Get well soon, Sybil, we’re all sending you our very best.
I’ll be praying for u, Syb. Hang in there.
Oh, Sybil, this is scary! I really hope you are okay soon and that all this med stuff quickly fades to an old memory. And take care of that head of yours. I battered mine a year or so ago and it was *not* fun!
Best wishes coming your way,
EC Sheedy
I would have tagged this post “Sybil is in the glue again”
Just sayin’…
😉
but lawson likes me 😛
ACK what you do EC?
Sybil! You’re scaring me. Well, if it’s a head injury that’s nothing to mess around with. I know how your mom feels. My son has knocked himself out 3 times and I would like to lock him in his room but he’s 30 and lives several miles away so that makes it kinda hard. Take care of yourself and listen to the doctors (assuming they figure out what caused this whole thing).
LOL I am 32! She just might lock me in yet… dude I have no resistance if she cries.
yelling I can tune out I am feeling fine but I felt fine before
well other than the headache ::shrug::
Thanks. If I should die or something I am sure Lawson or Gwen would let you all know. Maybe, hmmm well Lawson would 🙂
Hey! I would too! Especially once the smell got to me. ::wink::
It’s all that hair. Weighs your head down and makes it all wonky on the inside.
You know, I think I said something about her hair being the problem when she had all those wires glued to her head for the EEG. . .
She should be so glad that I do like her, I could have brought my camera to the hospital and took pictures.
I hope you are feeling well Sybil. Sending good vibes and prayers your way.
Sybil,
How scary! I’m so sorry to hear about your health problems–I hope the docs will be able to figure out what is going on ASAP. I’ll be thinking about you and hoping for your speedy recovery!
I would so cut my hair if that were the case. As is I think I lost more than half with the EEG.
Thanks Julia and Monica. Emailed ARC’s would help me feel better ::bats eyes::
Aack! Sybil, I don’t know how i missed this!
Glad you’re out of the hospital, and hope the docs find out what’s wrong soon. (and that you *don’t* have any more blackouts!)
Sybil- sorry to read you weren’t well. Best wishes–your cousin, Tracy
