Veena’s review of Everything You Need to Know by HelenKay Dimon
Erotic Romance published by Cosmo Red Hot Reads by Harlequinn 15 Oct 13

I thoroughly enjoyed this short novella. Jordan gets laid off and picks herself up and starts a web site that’s like a Wikipedia on single men in the metropolitan area. Women can post their experiences and warn off their sisters and/or check in and get the low-down on potential dates. Pretty ingenious, huh?

On one of her investigations she runs into Forrest Redder and it seems like there’s a red-hot attraction between them. Try as she does, Jordan can’t find any dirt on Forrest, but he seems to have ferreted out the truth about Jordan.

As he blackmails her into temping as an assistant to his partner and friend and proceeds to explore his attraction to her, she’s hard-put to resist. It doesn’t help that her neighbor and partner is encouraging her to get out of her rut and explore her sexuality.

I think the relationship between the two is great and I love the entrepreneurial nature of the heroine. In the times we live in today, it seems like this would be a great blog. I’m surprised no one’s come up with it in real life.

I find this book delightful and refreshing, but if you’re picking this up because it’s billed as erotica, let me warn you that it’s a great romance with the requisite scenes, but I definitely would not classify it as erotic.

Grade: A

Welcome to Need to Know—Because a Woman Can’t Be Too Informed

Dating in D.C. is like navigating an apocalyptic wasteland populated by men in expensive suits with zero mating potential. Need to Know provides all the information a savvy single woman like you needs to avoid dating disasters.

By night, Jordan McAdam is the proprietor of a popular website that rates D.C.’s hottest bachelors—everything from how quick they are to email you back, to their skills in the sack. She’s been burned once too often to accept any man at face value. By day, her job as an office temp puts her in the perfect position to do a little fact-checking on her rich and powerful subjects. When her latest assignment brings her face-to-face with the sexy but mysterious Forest Redder, Jordan decides to do a little “hands-on” research of her own. To Jordan, he seems like the perfect man—but she knows there is no such thing. Moreover, there’s a big problem: Forest knows Jordan’s the woman behind the scandalous site—and Jordan knows he knows.
