Can you tell us anything about your next projects? I know you have a book coming out in November and another in January. Then it looks like you have a sweet trilogy for us. Info? Please?
In November I have a Special Edition–The Sheik and the Christmas Bride. It’s a fun story with miracle Christmas snow!!
In January 2008 Accidentally Yours will be published. This is a very, very special book for me. It’s one of those magical stories that seems like a gift rather than a project. Kerri Sullivan is a single mom of a 9 year old boy who has a potentially fatal disease. When her son was first diagnosed he was only five and he got very depressed. She was terrified he would give up, so she pretended to be a superhero, thinking that if he thought he had superhero genes he would beat the disease.
So far the pretense is working, but time is running out. She needs funding to find a cure and looks to billionaire businessman Nathan King to help. But Nathan gave up believing a long time ago and isn’t interested in helping. So she basically blackmails him into giving the money. They strike a deal–he’ll hand over the money as long as she agrees to let him use her shamelessly for PR purposes. All seems to be going really, really well until Kerri discovers she might just be giving her heart to a man who only interested in what he can buy.
I love everything about Accidentally Yours and can’t wait for it to be released!
Next summer, I have a trilogy about three sisters who own a bakery. Sweet Talk, Sweet Spot, Sweet Trouble. These are very yummy books and I’m eating a lot of cupcakes in the name of research!
**if you have a question for Susan Mallery post away… she will be on blog from 11 to 12 pacific time. ***
Do you have any idea why the ‘Sheik’ books are so popular?
I have been meaning to try one because there are SO many there has to be a reason for the appeal.
Do you like writing for any one line more than another with Harlequin? I think you have done them all… Next, SSE, Desire, Harlequin Historical…
And just when are you gonna do another Harlequin Historical?
Is Accidentally Yours a category romance?
Did you get to spend a lot of time researching bakeries for your trilogy?
Hi Susan, I just wanted you to know how much I enjoy your Buchanan family. They are all keepers for me.
You mentioned that you will be doing a trilogy about three sisters….love the titles by the way…..but I was wondering will the Buchanan’s be in this series at all?
Accidentally Yours and the three sisters books sound very interesting. Looking forward to the releases!
The three sisters trilogy sounds yummy glad to see some books about a bakery not that many around!
I love reading about all the scrumptious food descriptions/recipes in books.
Hi Susan,
Your book The Sheik and the Christmas Bride sound cool as well as your trilogy. I love romance books dealing with the food industry. Are you going to include recipes? I love it when authors do that. It’s like getting a double bonus.
Both The Sheik and the Christmas Bride and Accidentally Yours sound good. Do both heroes get to grovel much in the stories?
Your Buchanan series was great. Looking forward to the new one. How many books do you publish in a year & how many have you published altogether?
Your sisters trilogy books sound so fun. I’m looking forward to reading them next summer and hopefully trying some new recipes too.
That’s what I’m talking about! Sheiks baby! No one does sheiks better than you, Susan. NO ONE. Wooo hoo!
awww..I like the sound of your Christmas story. I’m adding it to my list and watch for it to come out. I love to read these type of romance books during the holidays.
I actually don’t like sheik books, never see a romance in the desert, never think to read one until I found out you wrote them. I became your fan when read the Marcelli Sisters so I gave “The Sheik’s Kidnapped Bride” a try. Now let say, I still don’t like sheik book except for yours.
