I had been reading about Shomi books and wondered what all the hoola was about. Now I know!
A heart-pounding prologue slams into mundane, everyday life in a heart beat… “Skye, Skye, wake up.”
Looking forward to ready more, Marianne.
I’m hooked. 🙂
Hmm, I am intruiged. The books in this line sure like to make you ask “WHAT’S GOING ON?!” in the first few pages. Then you just have to keep reading. Nuts. I have to find these books now.
Great excerpt! You hooked me! I want to know more about these weird dreams she is having.
I can’t wait to read Moongazer. A romantic young adult of alternative worlds. The prologue makes you sit on the edge of your seat, begging to find out what’s happening next. And who doesn’t love an all-girl’s gaming company?
Hi my name is Holly. Your books totally rock. Anyway the first chapter of Moongazer was pretty cool! It was hard to understand at first but then it made more sense. Her boyfriend is a little non-sensitive. I don’t know why she likes him because he doesn’t seem very nice. It is weird how dreams effect your lives and sleeping habits. I know I have a real hard time sleeping. Her job also sounds really cool! I wish I had her job! Real life sounds like it would be an amazing game to play. It reminded me of the sims 2 but the personalities in real life characters sound awesome. You are doing an amazing job with this book and I hope you have fun writing it!
Awesome excerpt it hooked me right from the beginning.
At first I didn’t know what was going on but as I read further I figured out what was happening.
Interested in finding out more about her dreams.
I totally agree with the comments. The beginning was great…a frantic pace, the pace building to crescendo…then you sucker punch the reader. I love that.
i like it!!!
its very interesting!
I loved it! I’ve read other books you’ve written (Boy’s That Bite and Stake That!) and this is different. Definitely different, but in a very good way. I love your style of writing, and that’s usually why I like an author in the first place. The story itself, just in that preview, got my heart racing. I’ve been extremely curious about what happens next… August is too far away =(
Alright first off I gotta say I love that the shomi books have the maga feel to them they kind of remind me of 12 Kingdoms by Fuyumi Ono.
I also gotta say I loved it and am now totally sucked in and have to wait for yet another book to come out in the fall…it’s definitely number 1 on my list. Leave it to a guy to think of sex in any situation…Craig definitely reminds me of a few of my guy friends, if not all of them.
I’m kind of excited that you made the main character older than the ones in Boys that Bite and Stake That…I can definitely that her being older will most likely help me connect to the character more.
The first chapter not only has me completely wanting more but me makes me wonder what’s going to happen to her…what was the dream all about and why did the voice inside her head keep telling her to “Run from the moon”??
Arrgggg….I can’t wait until I can get my hands on a copy…I only hope that it comes out before I go back to college.
This definitely sounds intriguing. I’m looking forward to the Shomi books the more I read about them.
These Shomi books look amazing!
The excerpt sounded great, and I’m always up for something different, so I’m looking forward to the books in the Shomi line!
Great excerpt! It makes me want to read more and soon. And I love this cover! In general, everything about the Shomi line is very atractive to me.
PD: It was nice the reminisence to MJ and Captain Eo. I loved that video, but haven’t thought about it for years.
The excerpt was very compelling. I definitely want to read more! I’m looking forward to reading books from the Shomi line. I really was not sure it would be for me, but these excerpts have certainly changed my opinion. 🙂
The books sound great and I’m new to the Shomi line so thanks for letting know about them.
Lol…..Your excerpt had me thinking about my running dreams,I need to read Moongazer to add more action to my dreams. I’m looking forward to reading more.*g*
Great suspense in that prologue!
I’m looking forward to reading the Shomi line. Enjoyed the excerpt today. I have the ARC of Driven sent to me by Eve Silver.
