One Night With You by Shiloh Walker
Logan knew from the first time he saw Bo Martin that she was the one for him. They were just teenagers then, but he knew. He spent years quietly waiting for her to grow up and when he finally made his move, he moved too fast and scared Bo away. She stayed away for four years but circumstances outside his control kept him from going to her when she finally returned.
Now it’s too late. Bo’s engaged to one of Logan’s best friends. But he’ll be damned if he lets that wedding happen. All he needs is a little bit of luck, and one night to convince Bo that she belongs with him.
Does that scream sybil needs to read this or what?
No series, contemporary, no paranormal elements…. I admit this are often my favorite types of stories from Mrs. Walker.
What about you? Tell me your favorite Shiloh Walker story and why. You have until Friday April 27 at midnight (CST). I will draw a name on Saturday April 28 from the comments and you will win a brand new, never read (unsigned) copy of Hunters: Heart and Soul. (with thanks to Berkley for donating the prize)
And now… speaking of winners… I have some to announce *g*
*G* Touch Of Gypsy Fire. Cuz it’s fantasy and I love fantasy.
;p
hee hee hee…. of course, i’ve already read heart and soul. until my eyes almost bled out over it.
you’re a sweetie sybil!
My favorite is Hunting the Hunter. I loved Kendall and Kane’s love story. Kane has to get past his feelings about vampires to be with Kendall.
How can you choose a favourite? I like reading Shiloh’s books but hate trying to choose a favourite as they are all good. Sorry but I just can’t do it – at least not without rereading them all (any excuse).
I loved Hunters: Heart and Soul! It was awesome! I can’t wait till the next Hunter book.
I liked BACK FROM HELL because it was the first one of Shiloh’s I read. I enjoyed reading Jenai and Ronan’s trials and tribulations.
I would have to say that Hunting the Hunter was my favorite. It was the first full book I read by Shiloh and I really enjoyed the story.
I just want to meet some of these cover models! Oh my word – that man’s stomach is mouthwatering!
I’m looking forward to this new release. I read HUNTERS: HEART AND SOUL over the weekend and was a little nervous because it was Leandra’s and Malachi’s stories. Can I just say it was a very satisfying read? They were and it was. I just hope it’s not the last we see/hear/read about them. Every time I read a Hunter book I think (wish?) there was a full length story with all the pairs/mates overcoming some apocalyptic foe. Just one big epic story with all of them.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m grateful for the stories we have. I’m just wishin’ is all.
Hmmm, I can’t pick just one. All The Hunters stories are good. But I guess I’d have to say Declan and Tori (their new one is on my TBP list) and both parts of Malachi’s story.
My favorite is Hunting the Hunter because I loved how Kendall was so strong even though she struggled with some of her past. And I just loved Kane’s character.
I haven’t read any….sounds like I am missing out!
my favorite Shi story is The Hunters: Declan and Tori ’cause it was the first story I read by Shiloh and I was hooked.
It’s a tie between Mythe: Satyr, Avalon and Under Your Spell. I love the surreal world building in Satyr, the uniqueness of the hero (a satyr) and the fire in Pepper the heroine – she is in fact more powerful than the hero, a fact I found quite refreshing.
Under Your Spell also features a feisty and powerful heroine (do you see a pattern here? *g*) but the reason it stands out for me is it’s one of the most heartbreaking stories I’ve ever read. Poor Nic went through a wringer and more for his foolish mistake. I shed more than a few tears at various parts of the story.
Avalon is a gripping and steamy romantic suspense. The ice maiden heroine has always been one of my fav archetypes to read and Shi superbly juxtaposes that with the intense passion and turmoil that churn beneath Erin’s icy exterior. Also, Seth is simply to die for in his deep and abiding love for Erin.
I would love to win Shi’s new book!
Unfortunately I haven’t read any of Shi’s books since I haven’t found any at my library. I know that I’m missing out on a good thing!
I have read Hunting the Hunter and loved it. Looking forward to reading more of Shiloh’s books. Love her writing.
Ohhhh. my. goodness!! My very favorite(besides ALL to date!!) is No Longer Mine. WOW! That was my first book of Shiloh’s and I cried during most of it!! I was so involved in it, I stayed up all night, put off the ending by taking my son to school in the morning(the looong scenic route!!), came back and cried my way thru the ending! I then contacted my bookseller to purchase the rest of her books and put all print books on auto-buy then bought an Ebookwise to read her Ebooks! I then Emailed her(the first author I’ve ever Emailed!) to pour out my never ending devotion!! That is one of THE best books I have read(and re-read!) in such a long time. If you haven’t read it, you must do so(as with all her others!). Sheeeshhh, I’m gushing again! Sorry!
My favorite Shiloh book is Touch of Gypsy Fire because it is Fantasy and I love the Fantasy elves. What can beat a beautiful spunky elf heroine and a hunky swordsman.
Shiloh has so many variety of stories that some are special with that. I loved HER BEST FRIEND’S LOVER. I think that was my first I read of hers and haven’t stopped since. Then there is the Hunters…sigh…re-reads are great. I’m feeling it now 🙂
No Longer Mine-I liked that I could put myself in the book. It had a distinctive voice, and I loved the fact that it had a secret.
Close second is Voyeur….
