Veena’s review of The Whole Time (D’Angelos, Book 4) by Catherine Bybee
Contemporary Romance published by Montlake 14 Nov 23

I have absolutely loved this series, and now that the immediate family members are enjoying their happily ever after, it’s time to get to know best friend Salena a bit better. If you’ve been reading the series, then it’s no secret that Ryan Rutledge is going to woo and claim Salena, and what a fun romp that claiming is.

Despite her strict Italian upbringing, Salena is unashamedly confident in her own sexuality and flaunts it in the way she dresses and the way she acts. Struggling financially when she comes across an opportunity to make money that is somewhat gray but definitely not a family approved venture, you just know it’s going to bite her on the butt, but you can’t help but cheer her on.

Tattooed and pierced Ryan Rutledge is a rebel on his own. He, better than most, can understand Salena’s motivations, and when he starts to romance Salena, he can see all the way through to the soft marshmallow heart that Salena hides from all but her closest friends.

Another wonderful chapter in the D’Angelo family legacy.

Grade: A

Summary:

Salena Barone has broken free of her family and moved into an apartment above the D’Angelos’ restaurant, where she works as a manager—without a husband, thank you very much. But even on a restaurant salary, she soon finds herself strapped for cash. Salena’s never been afraid of living on the wild side, though, so she takes on a side hustle that’ll raise big bucks…and eyebrows, if anyone finds out.

Tattooed biker Ryan is the youngest of the wealthy Rutledge wine family and has never dreamed of rings, forever, or continuing the family business. He’s perfectly happy living his own life and helping out hardworking folks in his own way.

When these two independent singles spot each other at a Rutledge-D’Angelo wedding, the attraction is instant. But as their friendship with benefits evolves into something more, the secrets Salena’s keeping—from family, friends, and Ryan—threaten the happily ever after she never knew she wanted.
