Get ready for a deep emotional read and keep those tissues handy. Adam Miller has been a widower for the past ten years and is far from the happy-go-lucky, fun-loving guy who married his high school sweetheart right after graduation. Lizzie was best friends with Adam and Louisa and lost them both when Louisa died of cancer and Adam retreated from the world.
