Dinca’s review of Shame of Thrones (It’s Reigning Men, Book 5) by Jenny Gardiner
Contemporary Romance published by Jenny Gardiner Books 16 Dec 15
In Book 5, Sebastian and Clementine have chemistry coming out their ears and everywhere else. I love this couple and enjoyed the seeing the characters from the other stories in the series as well. I looked forward to their turn. It was crazy and hilarious at the same time.
After the fallout at the end of Book 4, Sebastian and Clementine go their separate ways. Sebastian’s parents bring him back home with their urgent request. He then runs into Clementine on a regular basis, with their closest friends and family knowing what transpired between them in the British Virgin Islands.
So much for what happens in the BVI staying in the BVI. Cousin Zander is at it again recording the body-shot episode. Zander knows how bad things can be when they are made public.
The story is full of lust and will have you squirming while reading the details. I will not spoil it for you. Jenny Gardiner can really write to portray the body and mind emotions as displayed in those scenes. No imagine needed.
The author must be getting tired of the series. The endings are coming to a close and in haste. I feel the charters are giving in too quickly for the conflict between them. It’s like yes, you have been a jerk but I love you anyway. I did not have this feeling about the previous four books in the series.
Summary:
Locked Lips Sink Ships…
Lady Clementine needs a getaway. Badly. The best way to get her mind off of the unexpected loss of her beloved father is to usher her best friend Pippa away to a surprise Caribbean rendezvous with Prince Christopher. It’s an added bonus that she stumbles upon her own tropical fling with boat captain Sebastian, Topher’s cousin.
Sebastian Chevalier walked away from Monaforte long ago. Weary of dealing with the fallout from his parents’ on-again/off-again union, he sought solace in the water and never looked back. And he isn’t about to allow even the irresistible charm of Clementine to get in the way of his carefree existence, and readily gives her the old heave-ho.
But can Clementine take the wind out of his footloose and fancy-free sails?
