Book CoverSandy M’s review of Give andTake (Thorne Brothers, Book 2) by Lee Kilraine
Contemporary Romance published by Lyrical Caress 18 Sep 18

I’ve been having a great time with these Thorne brothers. This second book in the series is featuring Wyatt, the youngest and most serious of the siblings. He feels he owes his brothers so much for taking care of him as they did after their mother left them. He was so young, he doesn’t even remember her. So he’s doing all he can to pay back by working harder and longer than all of them. But then he meets Rhia.

Wyatt his and his brothers are sponsoring to a grant a new business owner by giving them office space for a year. They chose Rhia. She’s had a number of different jobs, but nothing has panned out. She’s also the black sheep of her family, and there’s no support whatsoever there. She’s starting an event planning business, so this year’s free office space will help tremendously. Only last minute, things change and she has to share Wyatt’s office with him.

This is where the fun begins. Wyatt is one who likes order to everything. Of course, his brothers like to mess with him too, moving things about just ever so slightly that no one but Wyatt would notice. His office is straight lines and bland, as Rhia would say. She’s bright and sassy and loves to talk. So imagine how his world is suddenly very different – colorful, a bit messy, and lots of talking. Oh, and don’t forget the animals.

This is definitely an opposites attract story. Oil and vinegar have never mixed so well. Little by little they begin to learn things about each other and share their stories, sparks are sizzling and popping, and they ease into working together toward that elusive happily ever after. I enjoy how the brothers are worked into the story throughout, including the missing sibling Ryder. Ms. Kilraine definitely has a winner series in progress!

Summary:

Six Brothers Construction was built to reunite a family and heal a painful past. So far it’s opened to rave reviews. But the youngest sibling is about to discover that the right woman can shake even a rock-solid foundation . . .

Wyatt Thorne was so traumatized by his mother’s abandonment he didn’t speak until he was six. At 26, he’s still the quiet type—strong and silent, most comfortable with a hammer in his hand and work to do. But the reassuring rhythm of his life is interrupted when his brother Beckett decides to pay forward their unused office space to a needy start-up. Enter Rhia Hollis, flighty, impulsive, and outspoken—everything that drives Wyatt crazy. Only this time in the sexiest, most irresistible way . . .

Rhia is determined to disprove her reckless, party girl image by making her new company, Seize the Day, the premier event planning firm in Raleigh. She has big dreams, and the Thornes’ offer of a free command center is a huge help. But Wyatt’s gruff, stubborn resistance to her presence is an annoying hindrance. They’re as different as night and day, yet when they begin to meet in the middle, the sparks fly hot. Is this a case of opposites distract—or the beginning of a beautiful long-term project? . . .
