Veena’s review of Strictly Confidential (The Boardroom, Book 5) by Lynda Aicher
Erotic Romance published by Carina Press 28 Aug 18
Ms. Aicher writes erotic romance with a heart. I am so enjoying the different dynamics of this series, where deep, dark desires are satisfied in boardrooms across the Bay Area. I love how the author blends technology, sex, and love in a series of romances where it’s not just about sex.
Kennedy works in a man’s world and has to constantly keep her game face on, even as she longs for an occasional night where she can let down her guard. When she meets Matt Hamilton at a bar in her hotel, she’s instantly attracted to him. It appears the attraction is mutual and they take it into his hotel room, where Kennedy spends an unforgettable night.
Now that her appetite is whetted and she knows what she needs, Kennedy decides to brave the Boardroom and design an encounter to give her the same outcomes. Fortunately for Kennedy, her night at the Boardroom brings her back in touch with Matt, who is in his own way finding his path to his sexuality after having given up being a Dom. Can the Boardroom help them with a happily ever after?
This is a sweet, tender romance which is developed really well. I believe this is the best book in the series so far and can’t wait to see where the author continues to take the series.
Summary:
Life is about power—who has it, who doesn’t.Anyone who says otherwise hasn’t spent time in Kennedy Keller’s business-casual two-point-five-inch heels. A woman in a world very much run by men, Kennedy does whatever it takes to keep her power, in the office and outside of it.
Until she lets her guard down and decides to submit to a man for just one night. He’s everything she doesn’t usually let herself have: sexy, strong…dominant.
Matt Hamilton said goodbye to the Dom life years ago—power games and the delectable push/pull of dominance and submission might start in the bedroom, but it never stays there.
Reunited in the Boardroom, Matt and Kennedy test their desires and boundaries…and learn that one night is never just one night.
